  1. I am still learning to write code, does anyone know the best way to make a 3x3 grid in Phaser for a tic Tac toe game?
  2. Something like Construct 2 I think? (never tried). Do any of you use the Phaser editor with Phaser 2
  3. How does one generate platforms on the canvas for a 2D platformer? For instance, how do I generate levels like this? https://opengameart.org/content/2d-platformer-forest-pack
  4. I agree, it is extremely annoying trying to learn this framework. I might just focus on learning Unity instead since there are so many people using it.
  5. Months later and I still can't learn Phaser 3, so frustrating to spend hours just to find the proper syntax or way to do something.
  6. Trying to learn Phaser 3 has been a frustrating experience, Unity 3D might be easier to learn with all the Youtube videos and tutorials that are available.
  7. I want to make a simple 2D game using Phaser 3, but I want it to be available on mobile and the web browser. What is the best way to scale my game and make it responsive? This game is a good example of a responsive canvas. https://robowhale.com/html5/mr-driller/
  8. Not bad, I like the retro style for your games.
  9. Is it easy to get your games onto the website and is it profitable if your game is monetized (I would assume so)?
  10. Would it be worth it to become a serious HTML5/Phaser 3 developer? How does one get started? Is it as easy as making your own website and hosting games on it?
  11. That's my struggle, I can never decide to program in JavaScript or C#. When it comes to making 2D games, why learn Unity when I can just do it in JavaScript (since I already know it well) and port it to mobile with Cordova. On top of that, I can use Phaser 3 and have it available on the web with ease. But then again, Unity has the asset store and all that good stuff so I think I might move away from JavaScript.
  12. I was just wondering how many JavaScript based 3D browser games there are out there, if there is any money in it.. if it's worthwhile to learn etc. Or should I just use a real game engine like Unity or Unreal.
  13. https://www.codeandweb.com/texturepacker/tutorials/how-to-create-a-sprite-sheet https://www.fiverr.com/search/gigs?utf8=✓&source=top-bar&locale=en&search_in=everywhere&query=game art&search-autocomplete-original-term=
  14. It's possible. But I think the real question is..... what are the chances of being successful enough to make a living off of it.
  15. I know that you can do so much in terms of 2D games using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Phaser 3, etc. But what about 3D games in the browser? It's hard for me to find tutorials or showcases of 3D browser games. Is this a thing or do people start using things like Unity at this point? I am aware that there are some 3D JS frameworks out there, but I guess I am asking if it's worth it. Again, I see a ton of 2D browser games, but not that many 3D. Should I learn 3D in the browser or just move on to something like Unity or Unreal?
  16. My first Phaser 2 game, available in the Android app Store. It’s not perfect, but I would like to share my first Phaser 2 game. Feedback is welcomed. Apache Cordova btw. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.syntaxlogic.brickdestroyer
  17. Thank you for this information, I just checked the APK file and there was no keyfile in it. I was worried that I was packaging my keyfile.
  18. Sorry, I meant I just wanted to know the preferred / best 3D frameworks. No specific requirements in mind besides games perhaps.
  19. Alright, so I decided to just to just develop for the device I am aiming at (Nexus 5). So I set the canvas to 320px by 640px. Then I am using the Phaser scale methods. I also scaled all the sprites and text down and re-positioned them. This is the new result so far.
  20. I always use responsive web design in Firefox or Chrome when developing, the game scales in the browser. It just doesn't look right on an emulator or on my local device. Is Phaser not good for mobile development? This is what it looks like in Chrome. (EDIT): I think I will just redesign the entire game to be 100% positive that it designed for mobile first.
  21. This is what the Phaser 2 game looks like on my local Android device. (EDIT): I can scroll with my finger, it would appear that the game is too large for the device? Here are my settings. let game = new Phaser.Game(800, 720, Phaser.CANVAS); game.scale.scaleMode = Phaser.ScaleManager.SHOW_ALL; game.scale.pageAlignHorizontally = true; game.scale.pageAlignVertically = true;
  22. So when I build an APK file, the keystore file should NOT be in the app folder? Otherwise, it will package it into the APK file?
  23. Do I take it out of my apps root directory and put it in a safe place? Or do I simply leave it in the app folder?
  24. All of my other vanilla JavaScript projects work properly in the emulator, so it has something to do with Phaser 2.
