    That sounds fine.
    Unless it's possible to just create separate images beforehand (in an image editor), then I would prefer that.

    BitmapText is really just a spritesheet.
    Text is rasterizing font glyphs on a canvas. And in WebGL there's the extra step of uploading a texture from the canvas.

    If you use arcade.collide, you can just check pacman.body.blocked to see where the adjacent walls are.
    Also I think you need only
    map.setCollision(621, true, 'WallLayer') although I guess it won't make any difference.
