    Hello,
This one is not what I would call a "game" (unless you classify lotto-systems in that category), yet it is still 100% HTML5 canvas front end.
I created Lucky Miner to iterate on the idea that there is a nonzero probability for any miner to confirm a block before anyone else does on the bitcoin blockchain with a potential to earn 12.5 BTC ($57328 @ 4586.31 Oct. 9, 2017). The app implements an experimental “lottery-like” system running miners on a full "bitcoin node" back-end. Whenever a block is confirmed, one participant address is randomly picked up to collect the reward.
    Here is the link:
    http://blockonomy.org/apps/luckyminer/
I intend to explore more deeply how Bitcoin and more generally cryptocurrencies can be used in the gaming industry - several other projects like this one in the pipeline.

Yeah, right now it's more like crazy market with stock prices going up and down all the time rather than a stable currency with reasonable exchange rate, but there are already some interesting ways to use blockchain with cryptocurrencies, and the pioneers may (or may not) have an advantage in the future.

Mission 13 - Lost in Space

Check out our newest game, Mission 13! We spent the last few weeks developing it for the JS13K Games competition hosted by Andrzej Mazur at Enclave Games. As most of you probably know, the idea of this competition is to fit a whole game in a zip file less than 13kb. We managed this with our entry, and here is the end result!
Also, feel free to plaster it across social media, trust me, we won't mind
    http://js13kgames.com/entries/mission-13-lost-in-space
Some technical features of this game, for all you nerds out there include:
Custome image generation. (For stars, planets, and asteroids) Audio synthesizer using JSFXR. Support for both mobile and desktop with fullscreen resizing capabilities. Random terrain generation. And most importantly, love.

So, in the end I managed to participate this year, too!
I just had like one week and I had to work during the night a little bit, but in the end I think that it was totally worth it!
I'm quite satisfied with my "A Day In The Life"!
Now,  I'm trying to find the time to play all the entries, at least 3-4 minutes each.
It won't be easy since they are 150+ already, so it means like 8+ hours of playing ... but I do have time until the 20th of September!
I already played a couple of quite interesting games though, with really lovely, lovely, ideas!

Phaser is definitely able to run games on Smart TVs, see this one for example: https://hacks.mozilla.org/2016/01/building-games-for-firefox-os-tv/
Although without the source code I have no idea why yours is not working properly.

    Hi Everyone!
Just a reminder that Ga,  the "made-for-jsk13" micro game engine, is open for business again this year!
    https://github.com/kittykatattack/ga
I has most of the features of Phaser, but is 100 times smaller!
(... and a helpful contributor from last year's competition added base64 image support which makes it even better than ever.)
The core engine compresses down to 6.5k, which leaves you another 6.5 for your game logic (which is more than enough!).
On the off chance that you have a few k left over for sound, you could try:
    https://github.com/kittykatattack/sound.js
But you don't even need the whole library, all you need is the single `soundEffect` function, that can generate any possible sound (or music) you might need for your game:
    https://github.com/kittykatattack/sound.js/blob/master/sound.js#L682
    Have fun everyone!!

I'm getting ready for the js13k competition by refining and expanding my TypeScript Game Framework MINI.ts https://github.com/LatteDrift/MINI.ts with the goal to let me make 2D games as fast as possible.
My current plans are to work on
Clean up Canvas Renderer Implement 2D WebGL renderer Implement Steering Behavior Refine basic physics Implement QuadTrees and Chunking Implement Terrain generation Implement some standard UI elements Improve the build process and get the TS code to generate JSDocs so that I can use Google's Closure compiler to get a smaller file size I'm looking for other ideas of features I might need later on or that make help speed up developer later on.

end3r reacted to remvst in [WIP] Glitchbuster - Looking for feedback on the demo
Hey everyone. Turns out the game was greenlit just before Valve shut the system down, so Glitchbuster will be on Steam!
Anyway, I thought I'd give some development updates, so here it is:
    Steam Store Page
Getting a page on the Steam Store is a lot of work. But here it is, Glitchbuster has its own page on Steam.
Deciding about the price took a lot of thought. While I want to set a fair price for the year of work behind the game and aim for make a game that is worth a decent amount of money, I don't want players to think that it is overpriced. My goal is not to earn a lot of money, so I can afford setting a low price. I would rather not make a lot of money and have more players, as well as not disappointing them.
Anyway, the price I have decided is $5. Hopefully players will think it's fair.
    New main menu style
The old menu was pretty basic, and I was never too happy with it. This is the new version:

    Dark World Glitch
Being able to add glitches in the game feels much better than fixing them. So here is one that I added just yesterday:
    http://www.indiedb.com/games/glitchbuster/videos/dark-world-glitch#imagebox
For those interested in how it works, I simply cast a few rays around the player. If a ray hits an obstacle, then the player should not be able to see further. I can then draw a shape based on all these rays to hide the world.
Below is a short video showing the raycasting in action.
    http://www.indiedb.com/games/glitchbuster/videos/raycasting-tests#imagebox
    Large Powers/Glitches Refactor
For a while, powers and glitches were a little too separate, which made it tedious to add glitches that have the same features as powers. An afternoon of refactoring made it much easier to add new glitches that give powers to enemies.
Here is a quick video of what it looks like when enemies have flamethrowers, jetpacks, and can teleport:
    http://www.indiedb.com/games/glitchbuster/videos/glitch-testing#imagebox
This also showcases how different sets of glitches make every level unique. Beating one level is very different from beating another, because of its structure and the way glitches affect the gameplay, which makes it crucial to pick the right power for the right level.
    Public Trello Board
Since the game's core features are pretty much done, I am now pretty much just polishing it, tweaking gameplay features, but also cutting everything that I consider unfit for the final game. In order to keep track of everything I need to do, I have decided to create a Trello board that you can find here.
    Miscellanous
Getting native builds ready for Windows, Mac and Linux Changing resolution from a 4:3 aspect ratio to 16:9 Sound updates, additions, tweaks Integrating Steamworks SDK Weapon refactor so that glitches can integrate those more easily Tweaked weapon tutorials Up Next
Getting a demo ready to release on Steam Getting testers feedback Making a final level/boss Adding achievements Adding a speedrun mode ... and many tweaks here and there! See you all for the next update!
