  13. I'm making a minimal memory game heavily inspired by Simon toy. My idea is to keep the gameplay oldschool, but prepare a minimal, modern design. I also plan to keep it hard. Here's a playable HTML5 version. Some more details: - I'm approaching it from the other end than most people. It started as an iOS hybrid app done with Cordova, later I wrote a simple gulp.js script to automatically build a web version. - There are many Simon clones, but most modify the gameplay somehow. E.g. add more colors, new rules, etc. I think the old gameplay worked best and I want to create a similar experience. Offtopic, here's a cool article about reverse engineering Simon game. - The devices have changed though. I want my game to be phone/tablet friendly with pretty and minimal design. I'm moving in small iterations, there's only Single Player mode right now. I'd love to add leaderboards & Game Center integration, local multiplayer, colorblind mode and in general, polish it some more. Do you like it? Should I improve something? Is the difficulty ok? On which feature (leaderboards / local multiplayer /colorblind mode / something else) should I work next? Bonus: I've written a blog post about how this game was made. Also, here's the game's twitter account: @RepeatingWSimon
  14. Hi, I'd like to show you the new three.js-powered FPS I'm working on. It's heavily influenced by '90s shooters (read: Doom clone), and features an abstract art style, blending 2.5D levels with Minecraft-like voxel models for enemies, weapons and power-ups. It's not released yet (currently going by Blizzard's soon model), however you can find more screenshots at Official site: Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Enjoy!

    Ninja Star

Hiya, Feedback is sought! I finished my first html5 game aimed at touch devices specifically, Ninja Star. Whilst it does work on desktops too, it is simply more fun to launch deadly ninja stars with a quick tap or swipe of the finger! Ninja Star aimes for a retro arcade-action experience. The player (ninja) must protect three villages from incresingly dangerous waves of marauders. The marauders behave differently depending on their colour, some posing more of a threat than others, and some even fighting back! Ninja Star features bonus stages, score multipliers for killing multiple enemies at once, and special super weapons for the screen-clearing mass destruction of evil bandits. Play it here:
  19. Hex-GS IS COMPLETE! - Hey guys, got another one for you. Since Huoli Arcade, I've wanted to create a game variation of my all time favorite, Gyruss. Enter Hex-GS. It's going to be a similar styled 80's tube/gyro shooter from the arcades, but I'm adding some twists. For starters, you will be able to power up your Hexfighter with a dual shot, and then a rotater/spreader-dual shot. Second, you have the ability to grapple to the other side of the tube surface with a button. To top it off, like the NES/Famicom Disk port of Gyruss, you will be able to select whether you will control in the traditional arcade style, or with a simpler rotate/spin control. All of these features have already been implemented in the code and are working well - though you can't use them yet unless you hack a little in the JS console, as the running demo is arcade style controls, with only the single shot. You can try a demo of the basic game system I have developed so far. All you can really do here is control the player - no enemies or anything yet. The game is to be VERY mobile/tablet friendly with touch controls, as well as desktop based with a keyboard or gamepad/joystick for supported browsers like Chrome and Nightly Firefox. It's also is using my WebcadeJS library, which I hope hardcore programmers can eventually adopt. Controls: Desktop/Laptop: Arrow Keys/Gamepad/Joystick: Move Space Key/Button 1: Fire Alt Key/Button 2: Grapple to other side Mobile/Tablet: Touch one finger: Move & Fire Touch two fingers: Grapple to other side
  20. Gravipop is my first HTML5 game, and I'm very impressed with what the platform is capable of. You can view my RAW development log on my website. In Gravipop, you have to pop all the bubbles while avoiding obstacles like guided-rockets, sharp saws and spike traps. Each time you pop a big bubble, it will split into two smaller bubbles. You can also change the direction of gravity. All levels have a time limit, and any remaining time after completing the level is converted into points. Features 30 levels Leaderboards and achievements Controls (PC) Arrow Keys - Move left/right Space - Shoot laser CTRL - Switch gravity Controls (Mobile) Virtual Buttons Play on Juicy Craft What do you guys think? 22. Hi, thought you guys might like to know about a game I've fiddled with. This game is a retro maze-puzzle thing, build on a Boulderdash frame, but with other rules, graphics, and sounds. It has its own instructions about the new objects too. It is distributed under the MIT License ( ), so if you like, you can use my messy code and any other files like graphics and sounds for your own projects - just remember to put me and anyone relevant on the credit list in your game. Hi everybody, sorry to rush in here promoting my own game with my first post - hope this is not considered rude... anyway, please have a look and let me know what you think of it: Hammerdude It's a fairly simple retro-styled arcade game, pretty much a cross between Snake and Pacman, with a constantly changing level layout. Controls are cursor keys or WASD and space. It should run fine in current Firefox and Chrome, IE9+ possibly without sound, not tested in Safari. The game is also available as a facebook app (with persistent highscores, otherwise exactly the same thing). Screenshots attached below. Any feedback is very welcome! Please let me know if you encounter bugs. Thanks!
