  1. This is epically well done!
  2. "As a kid, my 3 favorite arcade games were Donkey Kong, Outrun, and Gauntlet. Last summer I had a go at making an Outrun-style racer that turned out reasonably well, so next up was Gauntlet. I’ve been poking at it on-and-off for a couple of months and I think its in a reasonable state to share with the world."
  3. If you ever wondered how were old "3d" racing games made here is the great article:
  4. ThermalJS : A retro HTML5 Engine A html5/javascript framework for game development. [COMPLETELY NOT FINISHED] And here’s a demo I whipped up: To download the most stable version: ■ Deleted useless variables. ■ Fixed multiple bugs with null variables and broken functions, ■ Found out “mouse clicking” doesn’t work on mobile devices. I’ll fix this later… ■ Added a pool object – pool things like bullets and stuff! I’ll add a bullet and enemy pool later… ■ Added a Text object… Need to make newline work… ■ Added Music ■ Added Sounds and soundPool… Very big update and a big jump from version 1.1.5 or whatever. Also started calling my versions names. This version-thing is called “Full Blast”. You know, like full blasting your music? It currently works in: Firefox Aurora Safari iPod touch 4 (Mouse input doesn’t work) iPhone 4S (Mouse input doesn’t work) It can do: Sprites with animation Tilemaps Colliding Simple Physics Keyboard and Mouse input Buttons It currently isn’t stable in the least, but try it out. Maybe you can find a fix for a bug… Thanks for reading! Go to for updates.
  5. Hey folks, here's a game me and buddy worked on last year. It was our first HTML5 game built using the Contruct 2 engine (a way older version from what it is today). It's still quite buggy and not as complete as we wanted it to be. And the sprites and other gfx aren't quite as consistent as we wanted it to be. However, i do plan on rewriting it using Monkey pretty soon. Basically a fast pace retro platform shooter. The goal is to acquire all the spinning "tesseract cubes" to progress to the next level. Killing an enemy may yield a fruit. Collect 10 fruits to unlock a new gun weapon. Try not to die. If you die, you will lose all your fruits and cubes but you will respawn to try again. But don't worry...its normal to die many...many...many times. The game is a bit tough, even for me. There have been a few badasses from New Zealand, and Korea who've somehow managed to beat all 5 levels. Good luck! BTW, this is web browser only game, will not work on any mobile devices! And use Google Chrome for best performance. Controls : AWSD - move E - change weapons Left Mouse Button - shoot Right Mouse Button - jump Play it here : Normal Version Full Screen Version (if your system can handle it)
  6. TAWS (The Amiga Workbench Simulation) is a JavaScript simulation of the Amiga-Workbench 1.x – 3.x for IE, Firefox, Opera and WebKit-Browsers. With TAWS you can work with the Amiga Workbench inside your favourite web browser. Changes in this version: iPhone support. Amiga Early Start-up Control. Pre-sets with URL parameters. Play your audio files: AIFF, MP3, MP4, OGG and WAV. An alarm clock. And many small errors were removed.
  7. Here's a game I made with ImpactJS. It's a single level version of Klax, where the aim is to score as many points as possible: Klax - Score Attack
