  1. Hi everyone, I've got a site up with over 1400 tracks original music and sound fx that you are welcome to freely to use for commercial projects as well as non-commercial ones. http://soundimage.org/ All I ask is to be credited as indicated on my homepage. I hope the site is useful. And and all feedback is welcome and much appreciated. Thanks, Eric
  2. Hey, I am Tar van Krieken and I am working on a simple 2d game with a friend of mine. Neither of us are particularly good at graphics however, so we are looking for someone that can create some 2d textures for us and help with the style and theming of the game. We will require sprite animations for entities that walk around and do some other things, as well as textures for blocks and other things in the world. None of the graphics have been done, so it would be entirely up to you. I don't want to give away too much information about the game yet. It is not really a secret, but I would rather not have it on a public forum before we can finish it anyhow. It is roughly a 2d puzzle game similar to lemmings. I don't mind whether it has a pixelated style or not, but I have been working on some things to give the game a 3d feel despite being 2d, so it will have to fit that. Here is a video of some tests I have been doing: https://puu.sh/Bi2bS/e442b24781.mp4 . It makes use of normal maps to create semi 3d lighting, together with shadows that I have been working on: https://github.com/TarVK/pixi-shadows . I can explain how normal maps work if you are interesting in collaborating and don't know this yourself yet. Some of my other work can be found here: https://github.com/TarVK http://ludumdare.com/compo/author/thegunmaster/ As can be understood from this being in the 'unpaid' section, I am not willing to pay anything for the work. After the game is done we will have to decide where to publish it however, so if it turns out we make any money off of it, these profits will be shared of course. But that is a rather unlikely scenario, it will probably end up somewhere for free. Let me know if you are interested in working together, please link me some of your work, and then maybe we can get in touch

    Wade 4.0

Hi everyone A few weeks ago we released version 4 of our awesome html5 game engine. TLDR: Here's a 3-minute video overview It's a pretty unique thing that you can use as a plain JavaScript framework (with your own IDE and tools), or as a fully integrated authoring tool, or both at the same time. It does a lot of things, including: Drag and drop objects to construct your scenes Write game loops and event handlers for your objects with an integrated code editor Powerful Sprite and Animation editors Isometric and Tilemap terrain editors Physics editor: define shapes, connect objects together with joints, define physics properties with an intuitive GUI Flow chart editor to organize your game logic Real-time shader editor for individual objects and for post-process effects Dedicated visual editors for specific game types such as Match-3 and Hidden Object Export your game/app with one click to Windows, Mac, Linux and Android. Or download the source to do whatever you want. Use ready-made assets from a growing list of online repositories. You always get access to all the code powering them so you can change anything The key thing is that it's a very, very flexible system that allows you to do things the way you like: Design games with a fully-featured visual editor, or use WADE as a plain JavaScript framework to integrate with your own tools. Your choice. Write all your code from scratch, or use pre-made objects. Or some pre-made objects and some of your code. You decide. Entity-Component-System. Or not. Or just a bit. It's up to you. Entirely data-driven. Partially data-driven. Not data-driven at all. Pick the approach you prefer. Event-driven or update-loop based. Or both. Whatever suits your needs. Choose a renderer: WebGL, 2d canvas, or both together. Organize your game flow with code, or with flow charts. Want to do a bit of each? Of course you can Work directly in your browser using our online editor, or download it and use it off-line It's completely free to use (and open-source), give it a go if you like. The visual editor works in your Chrome browser, no need to download anything (if you want you can download it though, or just download the js framework).

  5. Hello! Recently we released the last major version of Phaser Editor, with a lot of new stuff, like Tilemaps and Bitmap Text, but what is more exciting is the new licensing model: Freemium! So now the editor is accessible to everybody for an unlimited period of time. The free edition contains all the features, just the number of certain assets are limited (scenes: 15, tilemaps: 5, texture maps: 3), however, we think that lot of projects fit inside that bounds. We are convinced that the best for all is a model where everybody can use the editor and provide a valuable feedback, that is essential to build a better product. Take a look at the complete release notes EDITED: Recommended this introductory video from GameFromScatch: Kind Regards Arian P.S. By the way, the development of Phaser Editor v2 just started, this version is all about to support Phaser v3.
  6. Hey I've been working for quite a long time on this multiplayer HTML5 game about top-down tanks. Some people say it's .io type, I politely disagree since it's way more complex than an .io game, however I use the term as well for marketing. The game can host up to 40 CCU per room and features 2 types of vehicles for 2 types of gameplay: tanks and trucks. Tanks are good for combat, they blow stuff up and collect the salvage while trucks are great for avoiding combat. The latter can also pickup other resources found around the map. The main feature of the game is the AI. While you fight against real players there are also 3 spots (more to come) where you can encounter AI. On the top left corner guarding a lot of resources are indestructable turrets, in the middle of the map there's the indestructable train wrecking everybody in it's path and on the top right corner there's the tank boss which drops a lot of loot. People can't solo either of these (solo as in either survive to get the resources or destroy the AI) so they must team up, however these teams start to split once they're closer and closer to the loot and backstabs start happening. This is the link: https://www.jefawk.com/?page_id=1419 although I could use votes here if you feel kind enough http://iogames.space/salvage-guns it's wider on my website though and has less ads (believe me ) My twitter is @JeFawkGames Server costs ~ 100euro a month, so sorry for banner ads. This is the normal PvP fight The ending of a boss fight: Train collision, obviously the player died If you're still around, thanks for reading and if you check the game, that's just awesome. I'm always opened to any sort of feedback and criticism, be that constructive or not. Thanks!

    Jigsaw Palace

We have recently developed a simplistic puzzle game, Jigsaw Palace using Phaser engine. With the power of Phonegap/Cordova we've put together an Android version, which is available to download on Google Play. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.arcticarcade.jigsawpalacefree&hl=en_GB We created a free version which used Revmob advertisements, but also created a paid for version, which comes without the ads. It would be much appreciated if you could help out by downloading the game and giving it a play, and if you like it, maybe leave a rating (we're not expecting 5 stars, just an honest review). Thanks again for your time, and hopefully you will have some fun playing.

  17. Hi all! I've been programming professionally for 15 years, and as a hobby for near 20 (since I was 8 years old!) - I absolutely love programming, and I love challenges involved with making games, and I really want to make a game, but I don't want to design one. At work, I am a senior software engineer and do a lot of data engineering as well as application development. I do a lot of dev ops and tooling as well. I long for making games, but I dont have the desire to design a game. I want to apply my skills with coding instead. I have a lot of experience with C Style languages (This includes, java c#, javascript, c++, all them curly brace languages lol) - but mostly javascript. I have strong knowledge in OOP, Procedural language, and intermediate experience with Functional Programming. I did make a couple games in the past (space arcade: the game, and starcede) back in 2011, made a few bucks or whatever, but I really don't have a "vision" for a game or a desire to "design" a game. I'd much rather be involved with someone or a team that needs a programmer, and I want to do this as a hobby. If you are an experienced game designer, developer, have an idea , or just want to prototype something, please send me a message. I'm not doing this for money, I'm doing this for the sheer joy of programming and the joy of making stuff. Right now, my only satisfaction out of making this would be my name on the credits, and to be able to tell the world that I worked on that. I'm mostly an application developer, my strongest suit is Javascript, but I also have a lot of familiarity with Unity and C#, and I've programmed in many other languages (basic, php , c++, java, etc) My github: https://github.com/MattMcFarland Completed Games: http://www.kongregate.com/games/tonechild/space-aracade-the-game http://www.kongregate.com/games/myplayyard/starcede Prototyping stuff with pico8: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?uid=23823&mode=carts Hit me up! I'm just looking mostly for hobby stuff, but if your project will be making money and you feel I might be a good fit, then I might want to share revenue.

  22. Howdy! I was so tired of searching free 2D physics body editor to Phaser.io, so I decided to create one myself. It works and it is quite accurate. Making physics bodies doesn't take that much time. The project is in early update, I was wondering if you would like to see more. I give you it in a file to download and here is my question - where should I host/share the project so everyone can see it after 1 click and can it be free (I am a poor kid)? I am always willing to answer wo997 physics.zip
  23. Description: Firmament Wars is a multiplayer strategy game similar to games like Risk and Civilization. Firmament Wars uses an accelerated turn-based system to keep the action moving quickly. At this time there are no AI (computer) players, so it is multiplayer only. I plan to add AI opponents within the next month. So if you want to play a Risk-like HTML5 game then grab a few friends and enjoy! The typical game lasts less than 10 minutes. Firmament Wars offers eight maps and three modes of play: free for all, team, and head-to-head ranked play. https://nevergrind.com/blog/how-to-play-firmament-wars/ Give it a try and let me know what you think about the gameplay! For the most part it should work on mobile devices, but I have only tested on a few recent tablets. Let me know if you have major problems on mobile. For the most part it was designed to be played on desktops at 1920x1080. Here's a quick dev summary: I developed it in one year using PHP, websockets (Ratchet, ZMQ), MySQL, javascript, JQuery, and GSAP. I'm planning to convert it using electron.io to "appify" it, but I'm not 100% sure how that works yet because I've never done it before or if it's even possible with my design.

    [WIP][Phaser] MotorSpeedway

Direct link to game: http://darkwalllke.com/Games/MotorSpeedway/ (free to play) I've been working on MotorSpeedway for the last couple of days. It's a 2D top-down racing game. You can race on different tracks and win money to upgrade your car. If you're interested in getting development updates, please check me out on twitter https://twitter.com/Darkwall_LKE or facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100010690715593. I'll post as I add more tracks and features. Art is from Kenney http://kenney.nl/assets/racing-pack It's controlled using the arrow keys, so it'll only work on a computer, not mobile. Please let me know if you have any issues. Feedback is much appreciated! Thanks, Darkwall

    [Phaser] Sokoban

Just finished a free HTML5 game I built using Phaser. It works on both PC and Mobile. Click Here To Play Similar to Chip's Challenge, you work your way through multiple levels collecting and using items. The goal is to get to the finish line (checkered square), but there are three stars and a hidden gem on every level if you're up for the extra challenge. Give it a play and let me know what you think. Cheers, Darkwall
