  6. Hello guys, We just released a new blog post listing 20+ places to get game assets. The list is ordered from free to free/paid (a lot of sites have some freebies for you to try out before you buy something from them). Of course, while free assets are a great, inexpensive way to try out your game's idea, it's worth investing into paid assets or hiring on an artist when you've got the funding for it. Hope this helps you devs who are missing certain assets or are looking to make a demo to validate your idea!

  13. Hello, I was wondering... I never got deep into developing a full featured game, just some small experiments. I was thinking how different dialogues types could be implemented, but I have some ideas which I consider poor. One of them, consists in showing information in the screen in specific locations in the world. To achieve this, one could create rectangles (regions in the world) and check the overlaping of, for example, the player. When the player overlaps, gets the rect id, and searches a vector, array, hash... for the corresponding information. Do any of you know awesome ideas and would like to share? I'm pretty curious to know how other people do it. Regards!

  22. I'm looking for someone who can quickly develop an HTML5 Action Puzzle Match 3 web game prototype. I will be providing the art assets for this project. The game would look similar to this although with different art assets - https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/10150 Other examples are Candy Crush Saga and Bejeweled. - I need the initial framework done where blocks can be matched by 3's, 4's, and 5's and players receive points depending on how many blocks are matched. - Points system for when blocks are matched. - New blocks randomly drop down as matching blocks disappear. - Matching blocks deal damage to a static computer enemy with health points. - 60 seconds count down timer before game ends. - Game restarts after count down reaches zero or the enemy's health points reaches zero. That's all this prototype needs for the moment, very simple. Please reply back with any questions, hourly rate and project completion time.
  23. I'm with a company called Ignition, in the US. We develop marketing campaigns and other cool products for our clients. We are embarking on a very fun journey now in building a series of games for a TV series and we are exploring Phaser for the first time. Phaser.io the html5 game engine is ideally what we're looking for. We can also look for people with experience with impact.js and any other html5 game engines. Our games have to run on desktop, tablet and mobile and each will be relatively simple from an interaction standpoint. phaser.js is the key. Here are some samples of some of the games that are similar to what we are building/level of gameplay: Top-Down Driving Gamehttp://staging.evoke.la/var/test/phaser.io/drivingThis is an HTML5 prototype we've been developing over the past few days. You'll see a big difference in visual fidelity in the final game, as well as more of a linear course, but should give you a basic idea of gameplay. Stealth GameThe stealth game will be a side-scrolling "platform" game similar to Mark of the Ninja. Our engine will be a bit simpler, though.(Reference: http://youtu.be/WZvTIztzDL8) Shooting GameThe shooting game will be built off of a similar engine to the Stealth game, with an emphasis on tap/click-to-shoot and cover mechanics like Major Mayhem.(Reference: http://youtu.be/DeqvnOTPPkg) Please feel free to reach out with any questions and we are definitely open to working with people offsite and in other countries other than the US. Thank you for your time. If interested, please email me. [email protected]
