  1. I have been reading in Ludumdare.com that lots of people are going to be using Phaser as a framework to develope games for this GameJam, so I think that It will be a good idea to have a thread to post progress in your games during this upcoming jam. After finishing I invite you to post your game here, and let's see what all of you can do with Phaser! If you want to take part it's April 25th - 28th and details are here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My game is finished! | Ludumdare 29 - Wriggle Worm by @gikdew
  2. Hello everyone I want to show you the game I made for Ludum Dare 26 with the theme Minimalism. I programmed it on Monkey which gave me the advantage to show it on different targets, including html5. About the game: This game is about protecting the cores, called shon, while they are growing up. You have to use your cursor to spawn little spirit bubbles that make the parasites disappear. You have three difficulty levels in which you'll have to protect a different amounts of shon. Technical stuff: Graphics: Photoshop ( just some shadow effect ) for everything else I abused of DrawCircle. Programming: Monkey with no engine. Sounds: GarageBand Music: GarageBand Aprox. Time of development: 12 hours. Screenshots: If you want to try out the game please visit http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-26/?action=preview&uid=13148 The html5 version: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14445838/ld26/index.html ( Only tested on Chrome ). Greetings!
  3. I've got a free weekend and, even though I'm twelve or so hours late, I think I'm going to try and make something with Phaser for it. It'll be a trial by fire to say the least, considering I've a) never used JS for game development and never used TypeScript at all. But I really want to make something and this is an easy way to impose a deadline. The caveat is that if I get nowhere today I'm going to use my own Python game framework again. http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ if you want to join me. (The theme is Minimalism.) Here are the links I currently have open in case anybody feels lost like me: http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/javascript-ajax/getting-started-with-typescript/ http://stackful-dev.com/typescript-nodejs-vim-and-linux-oh-my.html http://www.typescriptlang.org/Playground/ http://jessefreeman.com/game-dev/building-a-html5-game-with-phaser/ Wish me luck!
  4. Hey guys, didn't have time to make a proper game this month so I subscribed to the Ludum Dare #26 "Minimalism". The first thing I thought when I read the theme was a frogger. Don't know why but it stuck. Then my friend told me about the minimalism art movement and I adapted the game to the theme. I think it fit the theme. It's about a frog that is trapped inside a Mondrian's painting. The goal is to jump as far as possible. Play it here: http://doobdargent.com/1GAM/mondrianFrogger/ Hope you like it! Cheers.
  5. Will and I both entered Ludum Dare this weekend. Though neither of us really had a full 48 hours to devote to it. Still we managed to make a couple of games: SUPER tidy-up simulator PRO 2013 LD48 page: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-26/?action=preview&uid=5182 Soldier of Yellowism LD48 page: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-26/?action=preview&uid=19236
