  7. Fruit Spritzer is a WIP match3 (Candy Crush, Bejewelled) style game. Simple mechanic, fun, fast paced, score as much as possible in 60 seconds. High scores are recorded online, thanks to GameJolt. http://gamejolt.com/games/fruitspritzer/273499 Swipe to swap neighbouring fruits, 3 matched fruits squish, longer matches result in bonus combos, that when matched result in super-squishes: Explode - squish all fruits surrounding the match in all directions. Slicer - squish all fruits in the row/column from the match. Blender - squish all fruits of the same type as the match, matches with any fruit type. Match two bonus combos for surprise super-combos. Unlike many match3 games, the engine doesn't prevent interaction while the previous match is still running. Because time is of the essence, Fruit Spritzer allows you to continu making matches even while fruit are dropping and chain reactions happening, resulting in frantic and challenging gameplay. Think quickly, move fast, score high.
  8. Blok Prty is a Tetris Attack-inspired race against the Internet to score the most points by matching blocks. Drag blocks left and right to create horizontal or vertical matches of 3 or more. As blocks are cleared, the ones above fall down to replace them. Matches of more than 3 blocks are called combos and earn bonus points. Blocks that fall down to create additional matches are called chains and earn massive bonuses. Everyone plays on a two minute timer. Race for the highest score in that time, and then find your name on the leaderboard before the next round is started. Play here: www.blokprty.com/play Known Issues: * Lots of gameplay bugs that are easily exposed if you're even a little good at Tetris Attack. Blocks can get into a broken state where they're displayed smaller than intended (or not displayed at all). The problem resolves itself when the game is reset in the next round. * The game is designed to work naturally on mobile, but there are some bugs with changing device orientation. Refreshing the page fixes the issue. But... * Refreshing the page or returning to the menu during gameplay resets your score. Doh! Would love to get your feedback. Tetris Attack was my childhood obsession so hoping others out there would enjoy an online spiritual successor.

  10. Jigsaw Palace

We have recently developed a simplistic puzzle game, Jigsaw Palace using Phaser engine. With the power of Phonegap/Cordova we've put together an Android version, which is available to download on Google Play. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.arcticarcade.jigsawpalacefree&hl=en_GB We created a free version which used Revmob advertisements, but also created a paid for version, which comes without the ads. It would be much appreciated if you could help out by downloading the game and giving it a play, and if you like it, maybe leave a rating (we're not expecting 5 stars, just an honest review). Thanks again for your time, and hopefully you will have some fun playing.
  11. [WIP] I'm a puzzle

Hi folks, I'm very advanced on the development of a pure HTML5 puzzle game. You can find the full working beta version here: https://im-a-puzzle.com I know it is another puzzle game, but what I would like to achieve is a very easy and intuitive game to create and share puzzles from your own photos. I would really appreciate for feedback on the game itself and mostly on possible bugs on different browsers. Hope to hear from your soon, Bruno

  13. I've finished porting my Snake Slider puzzle game using Phaser. >> Snake Slider playable demo << It's a unique sliding puzzle game. The goal is to move the green snake to the exit. You can slide any snake by dragging them by their head or tail. Use as few moves as possible to earn all three coins. There also are apples and mushrooms that will make the snakes longer or shorter, blocks to push around and locks to unlock. The game also features hand-drawn graphics and multi-language support. It's based on an older iPhone/Android game, this is the JavaScript version which is completely re-written. It's powered by Phaser and it's slightly improved compared to the older version; it has an animated tutorial hand, a visible cursor, sound effect when moving, and overall more animations (menus, buttons etc). Let me know what you think. Can you can solve all levels?

  15. I finished my first HTML5 Game which was very modest in scope. I wanted to build a simple connect the pipes via rotation game. It took me to 2 weeks to complete at 2-4 hours a day on my off hours, in total 38 hours. I build it using Phaser, CoffeeScript and Sinatra. It uses LZ and store.js for storing data. The hardest part was drawing the flow graphic overtop of the pipes as I had to reverse the animation depending one which way it flowed into the pipe. If anyone is interested, I am considering open-sourcing the game. http://www.kongregate.com/games/omenking/piepezania
  16. My first game ever. Made in phaser 2.4.8 with gamestates, physics, graphics, math and not alot of anything else. I started learning phaser on June 7th, and this game is part of a more complex hexagon based game that I wish to make. This will most likely stay as a WIP forever as I managed to successfully complete what I wanted from this "experiment". It has close to 700 lines of code, written in a very compact but not efficient manner. Can I get a HIGH5 ? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cadsotic.Axhogenfree

  22. Programmatic creation of a spritesheet

I'm cutting up some large images into puzzle pieces, and I'd like to create spritesheets out of them directly from JavasScript (as opposed to cutting them up and saving them as images which are then loaded as a spritesheet). So far I've made a puzzle cutter in regular canvas. I did these operations in canvas instead of pixi because they are pretty easy in canvas. I can then draw all of these puzzle pieces to a new canvas, and via PIXI.RenderTexture I can begin to create a spritesheet. Ideally I'd like to gain access to a syntax like new PIXI.Sprite.fromFrame(puzzleId + '-' + puzzlePieceIndex) but I'm not sure how to achieve this. I also generate some other important images, like a stroked outline of the puzzle piece which I will later use in-game to great a highlight effect. I've been inspecting the objects created when importing a spritesheet via texturepacker. All I've figured out so far is that pixi creates a hash of image names matched to frame data... basically the name of an image as the key, and a rectangle, within the global pixi object. Is there some trick to this? Can I just create the strings and frame data and shove it all in there an expect it to work? E.g. 'nebula-2830' : { x: 500, y: 500, width: 48, height: 48 } (or whatever). How do I then actually wire it to the texture that I created via the render texture? The metadata created by texturepacker seems overly complicated for what I need here. Also, perhaps this doesn't change anything, but I might try for some really giant puzzles.. puzzles whose images are 4096 px squared or bigger -- for these I would cut them into multiple textures as only certain hardware would cope with those dimensions as is. Here are some images of the puzzle cutter's output in regular canvas: http://timetocode.tumblr.com/post/156841273346/javascript-jigsaw-puzzle-wip Thanks!
  23. Let me introduce my first browser game called Erased. The plot is simple. The black eye monster overshadowed the sun and you must save it. While coloring the picture by the pencils, you are dragged into your drawing where you should jump from one scetch box onto another to reach the boss. Your solar blaster helps you to transform grey boxes into solid yellow ones. Good Luck! http://www.supercoloring.com/erased-puzzle-game
  24. Make Photos' Puzzles

Make Photos' Puzzles is a collection of classic picture/photo games (Sliding Tiles and Jigsaw puzzle) and a couple of more experimental game modes (Rolling Tiles and Color / Swatch / Palette puzzle). PLAY LINK: Make Photos' Puzzles WHY: The main idea is that players can make their own puzzles (or photo collections) for other players. That's why the game was named as Make Photos' Puzzles I believe user generated content will be one of the raising trends in gaming due to players really want to be part of something. More details: The game was made with Phaser and web stuff with Jquery mobile, and all the photos come now from Unsplash.com. It has taken about one thousand hours and three iterations to make this game. The most important lesson I learned while making this game was that before you make a single line of code you really need to make sure and write down WHY.
