  2. Hi. I glad to introduce you a new game that was created by our team - it's called Arcade Race and it's a simple racing game where you need to go from checkpoint to checkpoint trying to do it in short time. It's a 3d game but made in old pixel game style like Interstate76 or first Carmagedon . Please don't judge it seriously it's just a fan art inspired by old games. It works directly in browser and mobile devices with friendly controlls. Enjoy. It was made using Verge3D engine in Blender with help of Inkscape and Gimp. Here's a link to the game And some screenshots
  3. It's been a long time since I was able to finish a project of my own, but here it finally is: Tap Racer! Tap Racer is a mobile optimized game that combines rogue-lite elements with a racing game. While your car drives automatically you need to tap the arrow-buttons to switch lanes and find the fastest route as well as avoid obstacles. There are 10 race tracks from around the world and while they all have a unique layout they also have a different surface composition of: asphalt, sand, and dirt. You can preview each track, tune your car in the garage and then give it your best shot! Tuning your car correctly is crucial so you have the right suspension, wheels and body that give you the most advantage in the upcoming track's surface composition. Win 10 races in a row and you win the game on your chosen difficulty. But don't worry if you lose: you get to keep everything that you have unlocked to get an advantage on your next try! This is where the rogue-lite characteristic of the game comes into place. Controls: – Tap arrow buttons to switch lanes (if on a computer, you can use your keyboard's arrow keys) – Car drives automatically Features: – Rogue-Lite elements – Tune your car in the garage – Unlock new cars and hard difficulty Game Link: Play Tap Racer

  6. Hi my friends, Someone has created a method for generating racetracks in Phaser? PD: I think the hardest thing to do is put the car slow if it leaves the road... I don't have idea Example: http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/GustavoMaciel/20131229/207833/Generating_Procedural_Racetracks.php Thanks in advance!
  7. Hello everyone, JS13K is now over, so time to get back to games full of useless images For the past month, I've been working on Miami Night Ride. The game is a pseudo 3d racing game inspired by the classic Outrun, this tutorial, and this game. I think I am pretty much done with the game, but I still feel there's someting missing, which is why I post it as a WIP, to get advice from other developers. I'm looking for ways to make it more fun. The goal of the game is simple, you just have to race as long as possible and get points before time runs out. Checkpoints give you 30 seconds, and you get extra points by driving nicely, drifting, dodging cars... You also get 10 extra seconds every 25000 points. You can play the game at http://miami.tap2play.io/ It works on desktop and mobile (even lower end devices should run it okay). Looking forward to get some feedback on it and improve the gameplay (graphics will probably stay this way). Thanks in advance
  8. Hi there, A while ago I created a realtime(ish) multiplayer game for a university assignment using Phaser, Node and Web-sockets. I haven't been able to put it anywhere before it was marked, but now that it has been people can take a look This was the first proper game I have made and for some crazy reason I decided to attempt a multiplayer game. I didn't really have a clue how to implement multiplayer so there is probably (definitely) a lot of insane stuff going on in my networking code but it seems to work not too badly. Eventually I will upgrade the networking code to follow more along the lines of this valve article https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Source_Multiplayer_Networking I have previously detailed how my networking works in this post: http://www.html5gamedevs.com/topic/5798-updating-players-positions-using-nodejs-and-socketio-multiplayer/#entry34974 Anyway, the game is essentially a racing game with flappy bird mechanics. Get the the hive first while avoiding the obstacles. The backend is powered by node.js which handles starting the games etc. I also randomly generate a level each game so that the obstacles are in different positions/ move at different speeds/ etc etc each round. There are a few elements of the game that are in there just to fulfil the spec set by my uni, like the little video at the end of the course, and I may remove these if I get time. The game is a little buggy in places I know, but worked well enough to get me very good marks hehe Currently it is running on a single digital ocean server, and to be honest I have no clue how many clients it can handle before things start to go boom, so it might be interesting to find out! I have tested it with around 5 with no problems. How laggy the other players appear seems to depend a lot on your distances from the server which is located in Amsterdam. Here in Brighton UK the lag doesn't seem too bad. I created all the graphics myself, but they were greatly inspired by Chasing Aura. I am pleased with how the game looks, and think that it could benefit from a few more obstacle types along the course. One pretty big issue with this game is that the server is not authoritative, meaning that it relies on the clients to inform it about their positions accurately and truthfully. This in theory means anyone with a little bit of js know how can cheat by modifying the code client side. I'm not really sure of a good way to get around this with this sort of game so if anyone has ideas let me know! Anyway, you can take a look at the game here: http://188.226.161.72 I would love to know what you think, if you have any suggestions on how it could be improved etc. Likewise if you have any questions about how the game works please ask and I will do my best to explain! Bye for now Zef
  9. Hey everybody! I'm new in this site and just wanted to share my newest game. It's a simple pixel race game. I built this game with Impactjs framework and it uses clay.io for the leaderboards. I hope you enjoy Play: http://ned.im/pixel-race-game
  10. GAME #1 - PlaneMaker - Kids game. The first part of the game lets a user create their pilot from 6 predetermined avatars. This is where we get their basic info like a player name, email or other info. They select between the Male or Female pilots, and can then customize their pilot avatar (3 male, 3 female characters) After the user has created their avatar (Pilot) we then begin the PlaneMaker game. PlaneMaker requires players to race against the clock to build their ultimate plane. In 30 seconds, they have to select the parts of their plane, and build it before the timer runs out. Parts will come off a conveyor belt and the user can swipe or click to take the parts they want. This game shows the style and conyer belt feel required. http://www.nickelodeon.com.au/games/ac-conveyor-belt-madness/5a6v3e Game #2 - FlightSimulator - Adults game FlightSimulator is a time trial game where a user has to fly their plane around a circuit, and move through as many checkpoint markers within the 60 second period If they miss a marker, they lose 5 seconds on their overall time. Once they have completed the course (in 60 seconds) they have the option to share their score on facebook, which posts how many markers they managed to move through within the 60 seconds. Ideally the plane will be a forward facing game like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmnsjRg-OE4#t=52 O as a second option it will be left to right style http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_rGz6qzK0c#t=21 Please note that this is for reference purposes only and would not be what our final version would look like, but it gives you an idea of the concept of racing through checkpoint markers. I will pay $1000 per game
