Is there a save function?

By save you mean saving the current state of the game? (eg: the exact position of all the sprites in the game, and the attributes of all objects used? ) Or by save you only want to save the progress of the game?

 

Usually when saving you only want to save the properties of objects that actually change during a game, so that the save file is smaller.

As far as I know, Phaser doesn't have persistance functionality.

It's quite simple with Local Storage though. 

What I did was create my own class to handle interaction with Local Storage easier, checking for private mode in Safari to avoid crashes and other stuff, but it's really simple anyway.
