The brush is getting bigger automatically or you increase the size with keyboard or mouse?

The water seems a bit non real. As if I see from top, not from some angle like other elements, trees, houses etc...

But yes impressive work indeed. Well done!

Reminds me of Age of Empires :D

That's some impressive work...

Can this editor be used for other games?

What format is the map file saved in?

My plan is to make the editor versatile enough to make your own custom/mini games. As far as turning into something more generic, such as a Phaser plugin for creating top down phaser maps, that's something I haven't really thought of until now!

The maps will be saved as JSON files but I haven't completed that functionality yet.

The brush gets bigger/smaller on mousewheel up/down. Also you can set the scale with the meter you can see on the right. I added that in there for people who don't have a mousewheel.

The water definitely needs work. What you see in the video is more of an experiment with phaser filters and fractals. I will likely replace it with a 2d isometric texture (so it will be just like the other textures you can see in the video).

When you say it reminds you of age of empires, that's actually the best compliment I can hope for as my game is heavily inspired by aoe game mechanics/artwork.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Oh my... Very nice tool.

I want the same for my Space RTS project! :P

Do post a link. I'm intensely interested in any HTML5/JS RTS projects, really.

For the moment, I'm working on the battle engine which would be close to a Star Wars KOTOR or a Mass Effect.

I can tell you more about the concept I have in my mind through PM or email: yahiko (dot) ninja (at) gmail (dot) com
