Hi gang!

Results are here! I actually expected a bit more participation this month (game? sports? what else are you doing in your spare time?), but we have 3 wonderful games for you.

The first is @Temechon's Kicker game! http://pixelcodr.com/games/kicker/ , touch the ball and try your best to score! Physics, Football, open source! Such a great entry :) Source can be found here - https://github.com/Temechon/kicker

The second is @jodo's Punch-Sucker - http://185.82.21.82/Punch-Sucker/ . A WebRTC enabled boxing game. The webcam support is not the best (quoting jodo :) ), but this is a wonderful experiment! Extra points for open sourcing the entire game on github - https://github.com/j-o-d-o/Punch-Sucker

The third is @RaananW's basketball trainer - http://raananweber.com/basketball/ . I don't know who this guy is, but it's nice he did something! Aim with the camera, shoot with the space key. Using the new physics architecture! But the code needs to be cleaned a bit, so it's not (yet!) on github. A very basic playground version can be found here - http://www.babylonjs-playground.com/#6LN3J#1

Cast your votes!!

And, a question for all of you - Does it make sense to continue with the challenge? I really expected a bit more than 3...

I don't know if we should continue or not the monthly challenges, personnaly I never have enough time to participate but I always follow them with lots of enjoyement.

I don't care if only two or three competitors, sometimes there are more, sometimes less, that's the game, but they always worth the trip.

First off, great job and Temechon. I like it!

Thanks Vousk-prod., the webcam controll still needs work... ran out of time for further investigationg ; ).
For a "smoother" controll there is also a keyboard controll (arrow keys and "o" + "p" for punching) which can be enabled in the top right corner in case anybody is missing this or doesnt have a webcam.

On the low number of inputs:
I guess the question is, are people not so much interesseted or are they just too short on time. Solutions might be to make a challange only every other month, or to make the challanges "smaller" tasks?

Heard it so many times during studies :D

Congrat's to all three of you ! As @Vousk-prod. , I don't have time to put on it for now but I really like to see these new ideas every month. And I promise I will take part in one of them soon ;)

Keep going ^_^

Three games is a good turn-out, I think. (Perhaps make it bi-monthly if people find a month is too short.)

I like how source code is given on github. That, or a Making-Of tutorial, makes it useful to more people.

Rannan - I did think about it - thought of two "games" if not exactly sports. One was was the kids game "hopscotch" - even started making animations with a new IK rig I built to test JCP's new Blender exporter. But unfortunately I did not have the time - and I do need sleep :o;).

And of course, it is a struggle for me to compete with all the javascript experts around here :)

I'm sure I will try again in the future, but for a number of reasons, I may not be around the BJS forum much for a while after next Monday - but I hope the "challenge" stays in some form

cheers, gryff :)

Edit: Voted for all three as I had fun - though 8 goalkeepers in Julian's game:o

Darn, I totally missed the challenge!!! So busy I didn't have much time to read here and then I miss a complete month plus a new challenge :(

Even with only three participants the quality is really high. All three games are super cool, with nice presentation! Grat job guys! :)

Indeed...well, I try to read a bit more in the forum to catch up again... but still kinda busy, so nut sure how well that will work. Any plans for a march challenge so far? Not that I start off by missing another challenge right away ;)
