The concept is completely different. In 3D you render 3D models, while in 2D you render sprites. 

You can do something that is close to 2D because of how camera is positioned. This is what I have done:

Mathias, but it looks like from up-above the models you used are different than in normal 3d view. 

Did you somehow replaced models when in 2d view? Is it actually possible to do so?
