How to turn phaser group into an image

I have a lot of sprites for the background in a phaser grohp and they don't move. I'm thinking it would be a lot more efficient on mobile devices to have them all turned into one big image at runtime as their position won't change or anything.

How would I go about doing this?

1. mobile devices have less maximum texture size than pc.

2. rendering big sprite gives alot sampling ops, which is one of the most time consuming operations.

3. for static geometry you should make decal mesh (which can be done by spritebatching with subsprites with the same texture atlas).
