Fake logos & brands in sports games?

We're making a lot of sports games currently.  Some of the environments look less than real as a result of being clean of thousands of competing sponsor logos.

I want to add some logos, but I don't want them to be real, or represent any licensing jeopardy to us down the line.  I also don't want to spend days of art time designing a dozen logos that might be fake to our eyes yet unwittingly infringe on someone's real trademark.  So the question is ...

Do you know of a source of public domain (or royalty free license) fake brands?  Ideally with unrestricted usage in created universes (e.g. movies, games, tv)?  Thanks.

Thanks.  Concerns with both ideas is that they involve upfront consent and ongoing relationships with third party properties.  That's hard to do (of value) without a demonstrable game and audience - so our need to fill with "fake" brands is a first step even if pursuing these ideas later.

@labrat.mobi very generous :) But perhaps, after you're more famous, your teams of lawyers will harass me to remove it (unbeknownst to your kind-self)!?!

Conclusion.  For now we ended up putting just the game logo in the game ... not perfect but: easy; no IP issues; just enough noise to suggest adverts; self reinforces the brand; reduces asset ripping to an extent?  I'll cross-link the post when we put it live.
