Cannot read property 'resources' of undefined

when i importing pixi in my webpack project it throws this error 

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'resources' of undefined

code looks like this 

const PIXI = require("pixi.js");
or 
import { loader } from 'pixi.js'

let resources = PIXI.loader.resources;

but when i importing to html cdn version everything  works fine

it was 5.0.0-rc.2 ?

i didn't check version ?‍♂️

 i install 4.8.6 it works
