Normal Mapped Sprites in WebGL

Using normal maps with diffuse texture maps can give your sprites a pseudo-3D look with dynamic lighting. It's a nice effect that runs pretty well even on mobile devices (that have WebGL.)

It took me a while to figure out the process - both the asset creation in Blender and a WebGL implementation. Since I couldn't find any other tutorials out there that take you through the process from start to finish, I thought I'd write one up myself.
