	Tomorrow is my birthday, I turn 50 and after so many years I have two months unemployed so I decided to go back to my C1ic.mx project for accessible gaming and I still make games using variables, random numbers, statements and animation, because I'm so bad at programing.
</p>

	This new game is similar to those classic games where you control a helicopter with a single button trying to avoid dangers, it is called CHOPY, the game is slow, but I really like the result.

	Hello everyone, I wanted to share this project I have been working on for the past few months.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#2a3c42;font-size:14px;">
	It's a wave-based survival game with 5 different environments that change as you progress through waves - forest, city, cave, hospital, and mall. There are 15 different enemy types including various zombies and wolves, and 6 weapons to unlock as you play.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#2a3c42;font-size:14px;">
	I created a particle system for visual effects like blood and muzzle flashes, and implemented physical projectiles with collision detection. The game uses Three.js to geometrically build the enemy models, rather than using imported pre-existing 3d models, although the weapons do use GLTF external models.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#2a3c42;font-size:14px;">
	The environments use a mix of procedural generation for the cave and hospital mazes, random object placement for the city and forest and a CSV-based layout for the mall. Everything is built with Vite and three.js, aswell as using Firestore and Firebase for storage and deployment.
</p>

In our game this piglet involves a whole team of friends to complete this task: some are mining for stone, some are producing bricks from that tone, others are chopping wood, operating the crane or even conduct space exploration missions!

	I am really excited to finally share a project I have been working on for the past year as a solo developer using the <b>GDevelop</b> engine. It’s called <b>Terrifying Zombies: Tower Defense 1 Game</b>.

	<b>About the Game:</b> It is an action-packed tower defense game where strategy and survival are key. I wanted to create a deep and rewarding defense experience. Here are some of the core mechanics:

			<b>Build &amp; Upgrade:</b> You can purchase various fences and defensive towers to protect your base. As you earn resources, you can upgrade them to hold back the incoming hordes.

			<b>Hero Progression:</b> You control a main hero on the battlefield. As your hero gains experience and levels up, they evolve and become significantly stronger.

	<span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;font-size:14.6667px;text-align:left;">I put most artwork together with a mix of 3DCoat, Blender and Photoshop to finish.  Spine was used for the symbol animations, external shop &amp; bonus round animations.  GSAP was used for the UI and a few pieces in game.</span>

	<font color="#333333"><span style="font-size:14.6667px;">My background is more on artwork, but I have worked on the development side of things too, (I started off my freelance work as a UI Designer in Scaleform).  Had worked on the previous two games for this client in PixiJS which were used as a testbed to learn the ropes.  For the animation I really needed something tangible to work with, so it was decided I would put together a prototype for the game.  There were a few things I would do differently now for optimisation, and have since changed in the next slot game I have been working on.  PixiJS was quite easy to pick up, and felt very similar to as3 and Flash which I had used quite extensively before on Scaleform projects.<br />
	<br />
	One of the challenges I found in particular was that I wanted the game to be playable in both portrait &amp; landscape.  So all UI &amp; UX had to conform to this, but was quite pleased on the solution I found for that.  The UI was a bit more extensive than I think you'd normally find in slot games too, having leaderboards, a shop for bonus entry IAP's and a secondary UI for mobile deposits.<br />

	Over the past few months, I’ve been working on a small passion project during evenings and weekends - a chess puzzle game called <strong>Endspiel</strong>. It’s not a full-blown chess engine or anything like that - just a simple game focused on solving chess puzzles in a clean, minimalistic UI.
</p>

<p>
	I built the entire game solo in under 4 months, mostly in my spare time after work. The game is written entirely in C++. It runs on <strong>Windows</strong>, <strong>Linux</strong>, <strong>macOS</strong>, <strong>Android</strong>, <strong>iOS</strong>, and also in the <strong>browser </strong>(via WebAssembly). I used my own cross-platform game framework, which I originally developed for a previous project. It’s partially based on SDL2 (except on Windows, where I use native APIs).

	I'm a front end developer and I've always wanted Point and Click games to be accessible via the web instead of always having to install apps. Unfortunately when I started this journey 5 years ago there was no lightweight solution in order to deliver such an experience. I think I've now managed to achieve all the typical features that one would expect in a Point and Click game.
</p>

	These include:<br />
	- Inventory<br />
	- Npcs<br />
	- Music<br />
	- Sound fx<br />
	- Voice acting<br />
	- Cut scenes<br />
	- Playing as multiple characters<br />
	- Close up puzzles and more...
</p>

	Some under the hood features include:<br />
	- Lazy loading of rooms as you enter them (since memory is limited on mobile devices).<br />
	- Sound sprites of voice acting<br />
	- Runs off a JSON file, no database required
</p>

	Some future features I'd like to include:<br />
	- Lip syncing<br />
	- Ability to walk and talk at the same time<br />
	- Escorting procedures (allow both playable characters and npcs to follow you).
