    It's the game world width/height divided by 100 (game.world.width / 100); 
    I should note that my techniques for rendering a mini map have since evolved from the time of my post. I no longer render the entire terrain layer to the map every x number of milliseconds. I do that for units (anything that moves), but for the terrain, I have a simple render texture the exact size of the mini map and render the tiles (transformed to fit the scaled position and resolution/scale of the mini map) whenever a tile changes. 
    However, for the purposes of most simple games, my old technique should do fine.

    True that. I think even with all that, the pros outweigh the cons but ONLY if you are very experience with HTML/CSS/jQuery UI, etc. Personally I work with the DOM all day long so it's second nature. But typical game developers might find it easier to do everything in Phaser (which is the equivalent of positioning everything fixed or absolutely, without using floats) because they don't have to learn the intricacies of HTML/CSS.

    Hi,
    I found it difficult to find a game, but it was worth it .
    The game reminds me of the "Age of Empires" but with a smaller limitation of resources and more focused on action, that's great.
    I haven't had performance problems, even with the screen full of units and the scroll is very smooth.
    I miss the order "hold position" for the units. I lost several units because they were going towards the enemy (a castle) that attacked them instead of retreating when I tried to order them.
    I see that the translation of the game is in progress. Here is a suggestion for the spanish translation of the UI: Back = "volver" or "regresar", in that context "espalda" isn't correct.

    Once again, congratz on the fantastic job. It's really nice to see more RTS!
    A small detail : all your games have an issue with dual screen (the mouse goes from one screen to the other). I don't know if you can do anything about it but a fix would be awesome.

    Some of you all might remember Strike Tactics, the HTML5 RTS game. Well, I've made a spin-off in which you can control every Strike Tactics unit as a hero which levels up. Destroy the enemy command center to win. Enjoy!

    Correct, it is simply a shadow tween. I used to adjust scale as well, but got rid of that effect (can't remember why). All of the shadows in STBA are created from a single render texture underneath which is the dimension of the window size. If a sprite goes in camera, it is tinted, drawn to the render texture and then untinted again. This is why the sprite shadows also animate along with the sprite. They are not duplicate tinted child sprites (as is a common technique).  
    Another thing that contributes to the illusion of 3D is the fact that all my 2d sprites were created as 3D models. 3D models exported as 2D sprite sheets and animated as 2D sprite sheets.

    Finally found the original post! Just wanted to stop by and tell you how great this game is. Played at least 5 games yesterday. Keep up with the awesome work! Phaser needs more ambitious games likes yours!

    I realize that, which is why I qualified my post with "this is bad, don't do this." It's a dirty hack and introduces tons of problems. Believe me, I know!

    Showing the webgl draw count ... you have no idea how long i've searched for a plugin or extension that does that.
