Kosmoon got a reaction from ivan.popelyshev in Infinity Land (beta) (sandbox platformer) [PHASER]
    Hello!
I have chosen this forum to be the first place where i will communicate about the release of my game, because Phaser has a special place in my heart.
i decided to work hard on this project, alone, and never talk about it until it was well polished. I was about to release the beta in a couple of days but... what a surprise, i just saw that PhantomStom made an article about it! I don't even know how he found the URL, but i'm glad he did it :).

So a little earlier than i expected, here is Infinity Land (BETA): https://infinity-land.net/
It's a sandbox platformer, you can create your own levels, and share it with the community. Greatly inspired by Mario Maker of course, but also: Metroid, Mega Man, Super Meat Boy, i wanna be the boshy.

The levels i design are pretty hard because i like to improve from dying! but i will make more easy levels for beginners.
I suggest you to look at the SPECIAL INTERACTIONS page to know more about all the subtleties.
You can also play the controls tutorial without registering: CONTROLS TUTORIAL

You can help me to improve the game by reporting issues or misspelled worlds to support@infinity-land.net.
Thank you in advance for testing the game, any feedback is welcomed.

good luck on that project, that looks cool, we need to see more to know more about the gameplay but its graphicaly attractive . I understand you on the "cool part" of being solo dev, it's exactly the same for me, i'm working alone too and will showcase it soon, versatility kills boredom.
sorry for my english i google translate some words

    Hello
This is my first HTML5 game, please play and share your ideas.
"Kickin' it : with freestyle masters" is a simple yet challenging soccer ball juggling game. You are controlling the player to keep the ball on air as long as possible.
You need to tap ( press keys for pc ) just as the ball is about to hit your foot. Pressing too late or too early and will miss the ball.
Mobile : Tapping the left of the screen kicks out your left foot, tapping the right kicks out your right foot.
PC : Pressing the left/A of the keyboard kicks out your left foot, Pressing the right/D of the keyboard kicks out your right foot.
Unlock new player by collecting coins Share score and challenge your friends Play Demo https://putrefied-aptitude.000webhostapp.com/kickinit/
    Thank You

This is my newest project with Phaser, 2D platformer which aims to bring the best from the present and the past in one game. Curentlly it is still WIP but you can see how the development progress is moving on. Some of you may have seen it on twitter but for those who didn't here are a few gifs:
As far as tools and frameworks are concerned I'm using:
    Phaser - for coding
    Aseprite - for pixel art
    Tiled -for level design
I'm alone working on this game, graphics, programming and design, so if you see any flaws please do not hesitate to criticize me.  Cool part about being solo dev beside not having anyone to mess with my ideas is that when I get bored doing programming, I draw assets for my games, when I run out of inspirations for drawing I design levels, when get tired with that I move back to programming and so on!
I hope that playable demo will be available by the end of the month.
Thanks everyone for taking a look. Cheers!

    Hello fellow game devs,
I have made this game Copter Rescue in the recent few weeks, you can check it out on the this link: http://goo.gl/sCcnu2
Also contacted a few HTML5 game publisher and hoping that I will get a few offers for exclusive or non-exclusive licence, what do you think would be a fair price for a game like that? Thanks for your answers and your time.
Feel free to discuss the game and what you like/dislike, I'm open to any kind of criticsm.
    Regards!

Kosmoon reacted to Mike018 in [Phaser] Learn Languages with games!
Hi all, I've been working on a language learning game called "Infinite" for the last year and I recently released a 4th version where I completely rewrote the app. I made Infinite because I saw that most educational apps have been following the same format as duolingo for over half a decade and I wanted to try something completely different that just focuses on one aspect of language learning, vocab acquisition.
I'm one of the few who uses Phaser solely for mobile apps and there's a story behind it. 2 years ago my friend and I were developing a language learning app focused on writing the alphabet of non-latin based languages. We were using html5 canvas for our writing recognition and I wanted to add some cool effects to the writing strokes, but had no idea how to do it and at the time, I couldn't print a "Hello World" from memory. I eventually stumbled upon Phaser and slowly learned how to program while making a bunch of little prototypes. Fast forward a few months and my friend, the programmer of the writing app, got married and took a month off. I decided to spend that month making a small language learning game with Phaser. I made a very simple game where you learn numbers and colors and released two identical apps on the play store, one for Japanese and one for Korean. Within a month both of them were getting ~1,500 downloads a day, which was better than our writing apps. I was pretty surprised because the game was clearly not finished, and you could blow through all the content within 30 minutes, but the vast majority of people only had positive things to say about it. Since Phaser was the only thing I had experience in, I continued to use Phaser even though I had no plans on doing anything with web. I then spend the next 3 months adding a lot more categories, hired professional voice actors to voice all the words, and added more languages, and the app really took off after that. The rest is history. Hope you enjoyed my story
Currently there are 10 languages on both iOS and Android: https://jernung.com/infinite

Kosmoon reacted to JSON in Multiplayer game tutorial with Phaser, and Node.js part 1
I wrote my very first blog post. It's a tutorial on how to create a multiplayer game with phaser in the client, and Node.js in the server:
The server uses Socket.io and Express.js.
    Part 1:  http://gojasonyang.com/post/phaserMultiplayerGamePart1.html
It's for complete beginners who aren't familiar with Node.js and Phaser. I hope someone finds it useful if it's their first time working with Phaser and Node.js !!
