  1. Hey Rich, my question is a bit off-topic, but I was wondering if you were still planning on persuing making Phaser work for Wii U on the NWF? Sorry, I've been out of the loop for awhile and just wanted to catch up on this. Other than that, congrats on the popularity of Phaser!
  2. I don't have time to check this out just now, but I'm quite certain this is my answer. Thank you KarmaOctopus! The Intellisense wasn't giving me the option for TILED_JSON, but as you said I should need to change my TS definitions for this. The same goes for the other advice you gave me. KO - why would I need to modify my TS definitions? I thought whatever I grabbed from github would have what I need? If you can't tell, I've never messed with TS before now and I'm still getting familiar with it all. This leads me to my next question...is my implementation in Game incorrect and rather than changing the TS definitions, I need to change my code? Lastly, you are spot on about adding it to web.config in order to serve up the JSON file. Thank you!
  3. JCS, Thanks for reply. So yeah, I'm using 1.1.4 and I updated the TS definitions from the dev branch as instructed to do in the Castlevania tutorial. So do you think if I move back to 1.1.3 the code I posted originally should work?
  4. I've followed along with the 'Castlevania' tutorial (copy and paste) and everything is working as expected. Although, I now want to load a tiled sprite map I created in Tiled and exported to JSON. I was able to follow the Mario example from all the examples off of GitHub and had no issues on a single html page and running it on my local webserver setup (XAMPP.) I just can't get it to work in VS 2013. I'm sure I'm going about this the wrong way. Basically, I did a copy and paste of the Castlevania tutorial (http://www.photonstorm.com/phaser/advanced-phaser-and-typescript-projects) and changed the name to Game1. Here is the code from my Level1.ts file. You can see where I added some code module Game1 { var map; var layer; var cursors; export class Level1 extends Phaser.State { background: Phaser.Sprite; music: Phaser.Sound; player: Game1.Player; map: Phaser.Tilemap; layer: Phaser.TilemapLayer; create() { this.game.stage.backgroundColor = '#787878'; this.game.load.tilemap('mario', 'assets/another.json', null, Phaser.Tilemap.JSON); this.load.image('tiles', 'assets/tileset_3.png'); map = this.game.add.tilemap(0,0,'mario',true,32,32); map.addTilesetImage('xy', 'tiles'); layer = map.createLayer('World1'); cursors = this.game.input.keyboard.createCursorKeys(); this.background = this.add.sprite(0, 0, 'level1'); this.music = this.add.audio('music', 1, true); this.music.play('', 0, 1, true); this.player = new Player(this.game, 130, 284); } }} The errors I'm receiving in my debug console on Chrome are as follows. Any advice on how to load a JSON tilemap in this example? I updated my TS definitions today from the dev branch on GitHub. Phaser.Cache.getTilemapData: Invalid key: "0" phaser.js:33351Tilemap.createLayer: Invalid layer ID given: null
  5. Honestly, that's exactly what I'm looking for. I'm completely new to Phaser and game development.
  6. Woah, that's quite a large tutorial. I'm interested to read it whenever it's published. Hopefully soon :-)!
  7. I was interested to read your as well end3r. I actually just followed you on Twitter as well. Do you have a time frame as to when yours will be published? Who did you write it for?
  8. I'd like to see this. Good luck. Hope to see it soon!
  9. Oh man, thank you Rich! It worked (of course it did!) I'm kicking myself for missing something so obvious. It really helps to have a second set of eyes in these moments. Thanks again!
  10. Rich, Once I add the 3 files to my project (phaser.js, phaser.d.ts, phaser.min.js) I'm supposed to grab the latest TS definitions using RAW view from the following link https://raw2.github.com/photonstorm/phaser/dev/build/phaser.d.ts, correct? I went to RAW, selected all content and copy pasted it into my projects phaser.d.ts file. Was this correct? Here is a screen grab of my curren situation. Does anything obvious stand out to you? Thanks in advance. I know you're getting over being sick, so I appreciate your help.
  11. I thought this was correct - <reference path ="phaser.d.ts" / >, but VS does not like this line of code. NVM - A little bit more research and I found the answer - /// <reference path="phaser.d.ts"/> Damnit....spoke too soon. Still NOT working.
  12. Rich, no I have not. Honestly, I'm unsure of how to do this (correct syntax and all.) Would you be able to post the line of code that adds the reference? I'm used to adding references in vb and c# (imports and using), just never worked with TypeScript before.
  13. Just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas regarding the issue in the previous post I submitted last week? I like using Visual Studio 2013 to develop, but this issue with the Intellisense is bothersome. I'm sure I'm missing something glaringly obvious, and hope someone (Rich =D) can advise me.
  14. Played it and I enjoyed it! Looking forward to your tutorials sir! Till then, have fun coding and keep up the good work!
  15. Thank you! This is what I needed!
