  1. Good morning. I have a question. I am working on Babylon js using Unity. I would like to use Alpha material in Unity, but what material should I use to apply Alpha in Babylon? I've tried a lot, but it does not work. Please answer. And thanks to all those who have looked at this question.
  2. Getting Error While Importing BabylonJs Editor to Unity(2019.1.3f1) 1.No BabylonJs Tools found in Unity (After Importing 2.C# Compiler Error(Microsoft (R) Visual C# Compiler version 2.9.1.65535 (9d34608e) )
  3. I understand the credits thing, and I'm happy to give it credit to Babylon, specially within the game (in a credits scene or a "made with" label). But working in a digital agency, as I do, sometimes the client won't allow console messages on the delivered assets, so sometimes (depending on the client, ofc) we have to do some workarounds in a post-build script to remove it (and in almost all of those cases we just left the default babylon loading scene). But one thing that would be awesome is if Babylon would give us a badge window (like unity used to have for the webgl player) in a corner of the canvas or something that we could call to display for a few seconds that the game was made with babylon js. That would be coool
  4. Hi, I'm new to babylon and I need to import my fbx model. I'm using unity to do it(since blender messes up my model) by exporting the scene file and appending it to my babylon instance. And it works fine. But the animations doesn't seem to be exported. Is there a way for me to export it? I do not want to use the loader for unity, since I just need the model and animations. Thanks
  5. I'm using the Babylon toolkit for Unity and I'm trying to use the script 'CameraRig.cs'. I've attached the script at the main camera, but nothing happen. Can someone help me to figure out how to add an orbit camera ? I'm developing a 3d viewer so the camera should only orbit around the object. I know how to do it babylonjs alone, but I don't understand how I can use the script in the toolkit. thanks
  6. Hey guys. Recently I started working with the Babylon Exporter in Unity to create a 3D scene. I read documentation and watch video about Terrain Builder, where says that you can use up to 12 textures to create a Terrain. But for me more than 6 not work. A black background is drawn instead of my texture. Why can it be?
  7. If there are too many similar meshes in my scene, what do I do in unity such that when I export the scene to Babylon, those meshes are instances of one of them and not remain individual meshes in Babylon? Also if there many similar meshes in my scene, which does require separate materials, what do I do in Unity such that when I export the scene to Babylon, those meshes become clones of one of them and not remain individual meshes in Babylon? @MackeyK24
  8. Hi everybody, i want to know what Babylon can do what Unity can't do and vice versa. This is not about which tool is better like "babylon is for web-development and using less ressources and unity is programmed with C#", but more about the functionality of the tools. Are there special functions that can be mentioned? For example: Unity has the function NavMeshObstacle for objects to avoid by AI agents. Does Babylon has a similar function? I ask this with the background thoughts of a multi-agent system which should be built, which I already mentioned in a thread: http://www.html5gamedevs.com/topic/37290-the-question-about-multiple-scenes-again/ As part of my work, I'd like to compare the capabilities of these tools through their API (Babylon: https://doc.babylonjs.com/api/ Unity: https://docs.unity3d.com/530/Documentation/ScriptReference/index.html ) (the only way I can think of to compare functions) and, of course, I don't want anyone else to do my work, but I thought if anyone already had the knowledge, I could use this approach. I hope this kind of question fits in this forum. Thanks in advance.
  9. Hi guys,I have created a model in Unity and want to import it in babylon js scene.Kindly help me with the steps to import.
  10. Hello there, I'm trying to use the latest babylon unity toolkit on Mac OS X Sierra 10.12.6, but when I import the unity package, at unity started, in the console appear the following error: Unhandled Exception: System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException: The classes in the module cannot be loaded. at (wrapper managed-to-native) System.Reflection.Assembly:GetTypes (bool) at System.Reflection.Assembly.GetTypes () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Mono.CSharp.RootNamespace.ComputeNamespaces (System.Reflection.Assembly assembly, System.Type extensionType) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Mono.CSharp.RootNamespace.ComputeNamespace (Mono.CSharp.CompilerContext ctx, System.Type extensionType) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Mono.CSharp.GlobalRootNamespace.ComputeNamespaces (Mono.CSharp.CompilerContext ctx) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Mono.CSharp.Driver.LoadReferences () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Mono.CSharp.Driver.Compile () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at Mono.CSharp.Driver.Main (System.String[] args) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 The class System.ComponentModel.INotifyPropertyChanging could not be loaded, used in System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089 The class System.ComponentModel.AddingNewEventHandler could not be loaded, used in System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089 The class Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JContainer could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JContainer could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JObject could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JContainer could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JContainer could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JTokenWriter could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class <>c__DisplayClass23_0 could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JContainer could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JContainer could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JObject could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class <GetDescendants>d__29 could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class <>c could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class <GetEnumerator>d__58 could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class JPropertyList could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JArray could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JObject could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JObject could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class Newtonsoft.Json.Linq.JProperty could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class <>c could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed The class <GetEnumerator>d__1 could not be loaded, used in Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=30ad4fe6b2a6aeed Anybody known the what's the problem? 11. I imported the latest tookit, and build my scene, the error appears. Before I import the toolkit, my scene builds fine. So I wonder if anyone who ever used this tool ? because the package is updated 19 days ago, No one noticed this problem? But´╝îI tried "build and preview" button, this works fine , weird Another question is , the unity seems do not support webGL on mobile device, so the Babylon Toolkit exported scene will run smooth on mobile device ?
  12. Hi, I've tried importing the latest Unity package from: https://github.com/BabylonJS/Exporters/blob/master/Unity/EditorToolkit/Redist/Babylon Editor Toolkit.unitypackage But it doesn't compile. Errors: - Assets/Babylon/Shaders/Unity/Interface/StandardRoughnessShaderBJS.cs(272,34): error CS1501: No overload for method `TexturePropertyWithHDRColor' takes `4' arguments - Assets/Babylon/Shaders/Unity/Interface/StandardShaderBJS.cs(297,88): error CS0117: `UnityEditorInternal.InternalEditorUtility' does not contain a definition for `IsMobilePlatform' - Assets/Babylon/Shaders/Unity/Interface/StandardShaderBJS.cs(323,34): error CS1501: No overload for method `TexturePropertyWithHDRColor' takes `4' arguments Which version of Unity should I use to test the exporter? I haven't seen it in the documentation. Also, the GettingStarted video: http://www.babylontoolkit.com/videos/GettingStarted.mp4 is pointing to a 404 Pinging @MackeyK24 David
  13. Hi everyone, According to colleagues experiences I know that Unity sometimes requires additoinal plugins for networking functions (access to databases, etc) and I saw that the websites made with Unity take a bit longer to load and sometimes its necessary for user to download additional stuff to be able to use 3d websites. But all I know is too superficial, can anybody give me more details of why is BJS better than Unity? Thank you all.
  14. Hey guys, thank you for the unity exporter, but when i use it in my unity 2017.2.0f3 1) i can't find a way to open exporter tab 2) i have an error that says Assets/Babylon/Shaders/Unity/Interface/StandardShaderAUX.cs(294,88): error CS0117: `UnityEditorInternal.InternalEditorUtility' does not contain a definition for `IsMobilePlatform' What can i do? Thanks
  15. Hi everyone, I have a problem exporting PBR material from unity to Babylon JS. Here is material that i've created http://screenshot.su/show.php?img=8a6c8d7e815fc0bdf909e2a4186a4c56.jpg And here how does look metallic in my editor http://screenshot.su/show.php?img=721b6ae243c6f20b6d42ab3fb96f9c40.jpg But when i export herehow my metallic look like http://screenshot.su/show.php?img=eca701a3f10366a2b85ef828ead7029f.jpg What i'm doing wrong? I use Diffuse + Gloss + Normal + Occlusion maps
  16. Hi guys, I was in a talk where a guy asked to me : 'why using babylon.js to create game with webgl if now unity export a completed webgl application?' I don't know how unity exporters works, but... Do you have any opinion about it? This question blow my mind Thanks
  17. Hello everyone. I have a question. How I can correct export Unity scene by BabylonJS Toolkit with my scripts which one I attach to the game object in the scene! Could someone give me example of working project which one i can test and look how it`s work. Thanks!
  18. hi i use unity create a simple scene one cube, sphere and plane bake the scene then use the export toolkit get three files .babylon file .manifest file and the bake light png picture file i drag the .babylon file to the sandbox , the web page show not as in the unity i check the tutorial in http://doc.babylonjs.com/how_to/load_from_any_file_type still have no idea how can i import the babylon file and the png file make them work now i do not know how to use it can some help me? regards
  19. Hey all! I am both new to Babylon and these forums! I want to make a First Person Camera that moves in a direction based on its rotation (e.i. like a forward/backwards functionality with W/S). Only problem is I don't know how to do this without maybe physics engines enabled or making a bunch of really janky movements. I want something like Unity's Transform.forward. How do I achieve this?
  20. I tried to export unity scene from unity and enable the physics. But I can't find where babylon create the mesh in index.html that export from unity and what babylon do to recognise all model in unity scene? As I want to set the mass for each model , is there some where can find the register for all game objects ? Anyone also can explain how babylon work with the cannonjs to set the collider for each model ?
  21. We have been doing lightmaps in unity editor and exporting using unity toolkit for many models. And it was working fine. We have done many scenes this way. Recently we faced a strange issue for a model/scene. The lightmap exported (along with Babylon model) from unity didn't appear in Babylon. The toolkit did process .exr file while exporting and then generated lightmap files in the export/scene/ folder as well. If I drag-drop the exported babylon mode in editor.babylonjs.com, it also shows the lightmap image in the LightmapTexture dropdown in the PBR tab for all meshes. But it just doesn't appear visually. I checked the .babylon content the file name correctly appears over there too. Lightmap was very evident to find. So it's not like I might not be able to see the difference even if its there. In unity it shows fine. This is completely baffling. Could it be related to UV? In that case, it should appear correctly in Unity as well. I tried changing value of LightMapTexture dropdown in PBR tab in the babylon editor. Any other normal texture, if selected in the drop-down, shows up fine. @MackeyK24
  22. Hello, I need to convert materials used in unity into babylonjs materials. I'm having trouble with the part of metallic textures and the smoothness parameter (GlossMapScale). This parameter in the exporter is not considered. Has anyone already addressed and solved this problem?
  23. Hi New to babylon.js and I'm trying to set an visibility value to a mesh in my scene, such that I can animate the visibility to zero. The scene has been exported from Unity in to Babylon. The object in question is actually a typical Unity GameObject, whose child GameObjects all have Mesh Renderers and materials attached. So the main parent GameObject has nothing other than its inherent transform, and therein lies the problem: when in Babylon, this object has visibility:0 and no material object (in other words, it resembles the GO in Unity). What's kinda interesting/strange (to me) is that the parent GO in Babylon has visibility:0 already, yet I can see the child objects no problem. Thus changing the value of visibility of the parent GO in Babylon has no effect on the visibility of its children. I suspect this is more to do with Unity than Babylon, however. In Unity I have a similar problem if I try to animate the opacity of one of the GO's children. I think it comes down to the shader being used for the material - the one I have at the moment (Mobile/Diffuse) does not appear to present a parameter for colour and opacity, thus opacity can not be adjusted not even in Unity. For my own understanding, however, is there a way I can easily change the visibility/alpha/opacity of the parent object in Babylon that will also affect the child objects, or would I have to iterate through every child and animate their visibility values individually? Or is it really the case that I need to change how my Unity scene is constructed before Babylon an help at all? A visual of the object structure in Unity is here. Cheers
  24. Good morning. We are doing background work using Unity. When I export an object from Unity, it seems that the material is not exported together. Are there any things to do before exporting? I want to know if it is related to the material library. Thanks for reading.
  25. What's the best way to import a Unity Asset with animations into BabylonJS ? I tried https://github.com/BabylonJS/Exporters/tree/master/Unity 5/EditorToolkit , and was able to Export Scene, but it just didnt render properly. Might be because I'm using Unity 2017 . I've also tried importing .fbx file to Blender 2.79 (for later export), but depending on the asset, animations are not being included. Right now, I'm inclined to generate pre-rendered 3d animations as a 2D spritesheet instead, but just wanted to see if anyone has a different recommendation.
