  6. Hey guys, Don't know if anyone's interested, but I've been working on a pixel art editing webapp that might be useful for game devs looking to create some pixel art or tiles or bitmaps. It's called Pixel Editor Pro and it's at: http://www.amelyn.com/pixel_editor_pro/index.htm It's free to use at the moment. Right now, I'm just looking for feedback from users about: 1. what features they would like to see in an online pixel editor 2. how the app might be improved. 3. what improvements/additions would make this a tool you would pay real cold hard cash for every month. I'm working on new features for it at the moment. I'll probably implement the following features next: - User Guide in PDF format explaining what all the different sections of the app are and what all the different buttons do :) - settings section where the user can set different preferences such as (1) size of pixel squares in the Edit Single Tile section, (2) background colour etc. - display the current row and column over which the user is hovering when editing a single tile - tile merge feature; build a new tile by merging a bunch of different tiles in sequence - multiple tile merge feature; merge a single background tile with multiple other tiles to build a bunch of new tiles Please feel free to post any and all feedback in this thread or email it to me directly at [email protected]. I'm going to read all feedback I receive and use it to improve the app. All feedback will be gratefully received. Cheers, Miktor

  11. I have all sorts of game ideas, but I quickly run into a brick wall since I'm not really an artist. Are there any guides out there for creating simple "programmer art" for games? Even better, are there any website for free game art?
  12. Hi, I'm Cutler Cox. I am a junior in highschool who is looking for people to work with on the "Student Game Developers: Got Game?" competition by clay.io. I am a beginning coder, so I am not going to be perfect, but I work hard to be the best I can be. I'm looking for an artist, but other roles are welcome because I would like this game to be polished and well thought out. Most likely the project will be in phaser, but if I am unable to get it going on that, I'll go for impact.js because of the great available resources, and the competition gave me a free license. Once again, all help is welcome, but there is no promise of pay for anyone. If we get the game is good and we put in ads, the revenue will be split between all the collaborators. Thanks in advance!

  19. Hi, This isn't much of a game, but it still belongs here. Because it's interactive and uses many features of PHASER features i think it's ok to post. (a big fat "thank you" at phaser, by the way ). As a (more a less) finished generative arts project it has a playful feel to it. The app creates a never ending stream of rhythmically moving ornaments. Taping ENTER or Clicking to the beat of a song will align the movements to that beat. http://www.aleatoric.de/ColorSounds/

  24. Hello all! I'm currently making an isometric game using Phaser and the superb isometric plugin. However when it comes to creating assets I hit a wall. When searching online I don't really find something useful on best practice on creating isometric art but a few tutorials. If I want to a few characters - say same form, different clothes - in eight directions should I use a program life Inkscape and draw all of the different angles or should I create a 3D model and take pictures. I find the information on the topic very lacking. Thanks in advance for any answer! :-)
