Need adventure game engine/example

I need to write simple point and click adventure game with inventory system. There must be some example or engine. I really dont want to write it on my own. Please help.

I'd encourage you to try. If this seems too complicated, maybe try a text adventure first? The simpler the project is the more likely you are to finish it.
