What is the most similar or identical to Actionscript API HTML5 engine?

Question as i dont know allot about the html5 engine today , is there any html5 engine which have the identical API AS Actionscript API?

So that Action Script programmer fill at home ?

Start with Phaser. Even if its not similar to AS, its easy to understand. I came with the exact same path - Flash - > Phaser, then PIXI and some other.

Well, for me JS has is almost same syntax as AS3. At least, both are ECMAScript based.

Haxe with OpenFL will give you exactly what you asked for (Flash API targeting HTML5 with syntax very similar to Actionscript 3).  However ... making games for "HTML5" is a different mindset than making games for "Flash", so a direct substitute is not necessarily the best strategy.  The pros and cons of HTML5, OpenFL, Haxe, etc are each discrete, and the options beyond them are broad and potentially better suited to a new push into modern-era HTML5 game development.  What kinds of games do you want to make?

And was wandering about AS as simple Familiar game API which i can model according to .

Gamemaker lol, but honestly it spits out hmtl5 games without issue with the added bonus of also spitting out Android, iOS, Windows, OSX, Linux ... even export your games for xbox / playstation.

@mazoku I honestly don't know myself, I develop mainly for desktop. I can say the html5 performance on mobile is great, no idea how the .apk's run sorry

I have heard that sponsors don`t like game maker much?
