How can I implement a progressive AA post-process effect when the scene is idle?

You mean progressive enhancement (which is not really applicable with a forward engine like babylon.js) or improved anti-aliasing?

For the latter, it is easy to detect that camera is not moving and then you can turn on FXAA or MSAA (see https://www.babylonjs-playground.com/frame.html#Y3C0HQ#146) and also improve the resolution (with http://doc.babylonjs.com/api/classes/babylon.engine#sethardwarescalinglevel)

I have already FXAA always on though...hum...can MSAA be turned on/off dynamically? I think we might need to recreated all the render targets which is ...quite heavy, right?
