monstrek 1 Report post Posted May 23, 2014 Hello, I've finished my second game, hopefully this one is better than the previous one.You are sent on a mission to rescue crew members on an alien planet. You need to fly your way through obstacles and enemies. suntemple 11 Report post Posted May 23, 2014 Hi, Monstrek. Nice retro style. Natural, easy to learn gameplay. Tutorial was a little confusing - I expected it to react to my actions. I touched around, waiting for some action or for cap to say some other thing. I had an impression that there was a glitch and tutorial failed to continue. Maybe a sign in the center, like tap "image" to return to main menu would help. Regards.
monstrek 1 Report post Posted May 23, 2014 Thank you for the feedback Suntemple! I will look into the tutorial and see If I can make it more clear.
jaymad81 1 Report post Posted May 24, 2014 Awesome job, love the graphics. Did you create the graphics yourself?
monstrek 1 Report post Posted May 24, 2014 Thank you Jaymad, yes I did everything myself. Except the music and sounds, which I bought.
rantt 17 Report post Posted May 25, 2014 Nice job, I thought it was fun . I found the ship felt natural to control, and I really like you graphics. I played it before reading the comments and like @suntemple I was expecting something to happen when I was pushing the controls on the tutorial page. morpbz 1 Report post Posted May 25, 2014 I like it.About the tutorial page, I think the only problem with it is the word 'tutorial'. Your tutorial page is more of a manual/how to play/instructions page, which is a little confusing.Still, nice game.
forwardresent 1 Report post Posted May 25, 2014 Really nice art. Neat game, I liked it. My only criticism would be that a bomb should count down, wasn't too obvious it would kill me.
patmood 5 Report post Posted May 26, 2014 I really dig the artwork in this. It runs quite smoothly on my iPhone 4S - what kind of optimizations did you do?

monstrek 1 Report post Posted May 26, 2014 Rannt: thank you and yes, something needs to be done with the tutorial. Morpbz: that's actually a very good idea and doesn't require a lot of changes. forwardresent: Thank you! Patmood: Thank you, optimization was the reason I went for pixel art visuals. You can still do a decent looking game and it will run well on most phones.Having a static background and limiting the number of frames for animations helps as well.
