HTML5 game > native app in 30 seconds

Recommended Posts

I just discovered:

https://gonative.io/

And tested it on my first ever phaser game and I have to say - totally stoked at how fast and easy it was.

I've been having a lot of issues trying to get phonegap and cocoon to work but this looks really promising. I hope to publish my game tonight and will update with results...

I'd expect it to be the same as the browser, since it's a generic wrapper. Does Cocoon give a good boost in performance?

If it works the same as the browser I'd say it may not be able to beat CocoonJS. Since CocoonJS has a Canvas+ mode in which only canvas (2D and WebGL) things are available, it should technically perform better than browsers which also handle DOM stuff.

But it's not always true especially when Apple boosts its Webview, you're gonna test it.

Wrapped a test game made with GM: Studio and seemed to work just fine, there wasn't much to it thou. Could be a good way to save 400+ on modules if it works well, not to mention not needing to get a Mac just to export to IOS. Not that i have anything worth putting on any store but maybe on the future.

It would be nice to have a wrapper similar to phonegap in which the logo of the service is not popping up like cocoonjs. Although it seems that cocoonjs provides a better service in terms of performance. Thanks for posting anyway since this may benefit someone else
