Performance issues

Hi guys

A couple of quick questions:

I have a simple scene, no animation, in Chrome it idles around 5%-10%, in IE11 and Edge it idles over 65%. Is this normal? Is there a WebGL flag for those browsers?

In terms of mesh efficiency, is it more efficient to use image alpha instead of actual geometry (or lack of) to create, for example, a door through a wall?

thanks

Paul

Hi,

We won't be able to help you without a repro scene to have a look at. ;-)

Generally speaking, in our tests, Chrome and Edge are the fastest browsers and have very similar or identical performance results. Chrome is still better than Edge when there's a lot of draw calls but not with the delta you're mentionning. So we really need to review your scene to have an idea.

Bye,

David
