sebhoek
Recently, I picked up a pet project again to play with several topics from product development over observability to Cloud hosting. The result is this: https://pausengames.com As of now, it features the following games: a bubble pop game a game where the player needs to connect a grid of pipes a memory game a puzzle where the player needs to sort some numbers a minesweeper clone a game where the user needs to discover ships on a grid I plan to add more games in the future. I spent a significant amount of time designing some engagement features, such as: Highscore lists Daily games Game seed pools so that players compete in the same variant of the game more often An event system so users get notified when they lose pole position in high scores Challenge a friend feature ... and a few other things I also write about my journey here: https://dev.to/sebhoek/series/34939 I have to disclose that, although I have 25+years of coding experience, I used AI to create the majority of the code (so I can learn about the new tools). As my blog posts discuss, I had to step in several times because the generated code was buggy or not good enough for my taste.
