THE FART is a one-button game about farting without getting caught. Free, in the browser, no sign-up.

You are sitting in a classroom, everyone is facing the front, and your fart meter keeps rising. Hold to let it out, let go to stop. When a ? pops up over someone's head they are about to turn around, and if their face is pointing at you while you are farting, you are caught. Hold it in too long and it bursts out anyway. Survive the timer to clear the stage. Every three stages the place changes: classroom, library, elevator, bus, and then a wedding, where the bride turns around. 😅

It works on phone (sideways) and PC. Stages never end, it just gets faster after the wedding.

Tech, since this is a dev forum: plain Canvas 2D, no engine, and every fart is synthesized with the Web Audio API. There are no image or sound files at all. The characters are drawn as a sphere head rotated by longitude, so when someone turns around the hair, face and body rotate as one piece. My first version rotated only the head and it looked like an exorcism, so that got thrown out. The other thing that bit me: holding the button at an empty meter fired a toot every frame and the audio stacked up until phones went silent, so now it waits for the meter to refill a little before the next one.

We made this in a day, honestly to see if a fart game could be a real game. The short we posted for it kept more viewers than anything else we have made, so apparently it can.

One thing I would like to hear: is the ? warning fair, or do you feel you got caught when you should not have?
