I'm looking for a Lead Developer to join my team here at BoosterMedia in Amsterdam.  We are building up a new dev team to support our internal studio and external partners to bring the best HTML5 games to market quickly and need someone with experience to help form and guide said team.

 

It's an on-premises role so you'd have to be able to move to and work in the Netherlands.

Job Summary & Responsibilities

BoosterMedia is a rapidly growing HTML5 games company based in the heart of Amsterdam, and we’re seeking an experienced HTML5 developer with mobile app experience to join our Platform Services team. Platform Services is responsible for supporting our internal Studio, Platform team as well as hundreds of external 3rd Party developer partners around the world.

Our ideal candidate is a motivated, self-directed person who has a passion for code and working out on the bleeding edge of web and mobile technology. We’re a small company and team that values initiative and ambitious thinking.

Oh, and it’s a plus if you love games!

As our Lead Developer, you would be responsible for:

• 3rd Party Games

  • Process 3rd Party Games to ensure they are correctly integrated with the Booster API

  • Support external developers and help with API/SDK integration

• Booster API/SDK

  • Support & Extend the Booster API & SDK based on feedback from the Game Studio team and external partner needs

• Bringing Our Games to the World

  • Port HTML5 games to native App Stores (Apple, Google etc.)

  • Port HTML5 games to Facebook, Kik and other social services

• Be Creative & Identify Opportunities

  • Always be on the lookout for great ideas and opportunities that could improve our tools, products or systems

Required Experience

• JavaScript guru with 4+ years experience (or equivalent skill)

• Strong familiarity with HTML5 (including Canvas applications)

• Experience using Cordova, Crosswalk and/or XDK

• Familiarity with git, SVN or a similar versioning tool

• Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken)

• Comfortable with Scrum & Kanban agile methodologies

Bonus Points for:

• Scrum Master experience

• Experience as a Team Lead

• Knowledge of NPM

• Knowledge of Java (for Android) / Objective C (for iOS)

• Knowledge of JQuery/Zepto, Backbone.js, LESS & SASS

• Knowledge of GruntJS or an equivalent automation tool

• Experience with node-webkit
