How to make container cut-off children (based on width)

Hello,

 

I've been trying to make a slider but cannot make the sprite or group cut-off children something similar to overflow:hidden (in css).

 

Is there a specific way to do that? 

 

I tried to declare static width and height but adding children just makes the container grow.
