Stick to walls and ceiling

I am very new to phaser. I have the basic game running great, but I am trying to alter it so the player can jump and stick to the walls or the 'ceiling' of the platforms. I have tried setting the gravity , x velocity and y velocity to zero when "player.touching.up" or when the player collides with the platform. 

 

Nothing seems to work.

 

Any ideas?

 

I am using arcade physics
