Filters and movement issue

So I tried the code talked about in this post:

But I ran into a major problem, basiclly, when you move it shifts the map, and the bitmap layer with it, so as the map moves I end up with an un-tinted area around the edges in the direction I am walking, tried increasing the size but it doesn't appear to have changed anything.. Ideas guys?  Screenshot linked:
