Cocoonjs and Pixi touch

I'm in the process of converting my game to an app and decided to use cocoon for that. I seem to have problems creep up on every corner.  When I use the webplus+ renderer, everything is fine, but it's not as fast as I would like. a little lag.  So I use canvas+ and it runs it like a native app speed wise! But my screen now only fills a quarter of the screen.  So I decided to use the window.devicePixelRatio to adjust the screen size and it fills the screen. Great! but now the touch areas are double what they were. I'm really confused.  Why would the touch area stay the same but the screen view only be a quarter of the screen?
