Emitter particle fade

I have an emitter (game.add.emitter) setup. Each particle have 4s to live and after that 4s, particles just disappear which is not a nice effect.

I was trying to use setAlpha function, but it doesn't work if the emitter is set to explode.

What I want to achieve is that each particle have 4s to fade out.

 

Here's the code

var leftEmitter = game.add.emitter(100, 200);leftEmitter.makeParticles('pic', 0, 60, false, false);leftEmitter.gravity = 0;leftEmitter.start(true, 4000, 10, 60, false);

 

How can I make particles fade out?
