The Creative Labs team at Vungle is re-inventing the language through which advertisers communicate with people. We believe that the advertising experience is broken. We are fixing it by creating new media to facilitate the conversation between brands and the world. We want advertising to be like the best in-person conversation you’ve ever had: interesting, engaging, empathetic and memorable. To enable this we are building tools to help advertisers create highly personalized, contextual and interactive video stories. We are designers, filmmakers, storytellers and researchers who are changing the advertising industry.


As an HTML5 Game Developer at Vungle you will be working on new, innovative ad formats and placements. You will work within our Creative Innovation team at Vungle Creative Labs and will be responsible for producing, from end-to-end, visually rich and highly performant ads for our biggest clients. You will actively liaise with the key stakeholders across Creative Labs and other cross functional teams, to constantly improve the interactive game ad units based on the results of large-scale, production environment tests. Data is at the heart of everything we do.


You must happy working on pitch work with prototypes/mock ups/wireframes and contribute to creative brainstorms, as well as building projects which will go into production.




  • Comfortable working in a face-paced environment and produce high-quality deliverables in a short period of time.

  • Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS and Javascript

  • Responsive-first mobile development

  • Using Canvas/WebGL

  • Supporting modern browsers and mobile devices

  • Utilisation and optimisation of Javascript games libraries (Pixi, Phaser etc.)

  • 3D modelling, sprite and sound design

  • Ambassador for creative team, client facing.


Essential Experience:


  • Experience in a role with similar responsibilities.

  • Experience designing web-based games with multiple examples to showcase.

  • Attention to detail, good communicator, personable. Can present and defend design-in-progress to large teams / management, can capture feedback.

  • Knowledge of Canvas/WebGL

  • Knowledge of supporting modern browsers and mobile devices

  • Experience with Javascript games libraries (Pixi, Phaser etc.)

  • Experience with 3D modelling, sprite and sound design

  • High fidelity interactive presentations

  • Tools agnostic

  • A great portfolio of web-based games
