Tinny
Hey Everyone, I apologize if this has been asked before but didn't notice this in the posts before. I noticed in the release notes for Phaser 3 the authors mentioned that a new WebGL rendering engine was being used. Does this mean PixiJS is no longer used and that the new implementation might have better performance than PixiJS? Thanks a bunch!

It would appear so have a look at this: https://phaser.io/labs/phaser3-development-log-09 Quote In order to put the new renderer into Phaser 2.x I've already removed all PIXI references, the next step which I'm just starting is to merge classes and/or extend phaser classes with the new renderer pieces. I decided to start at the core of things with Phaser.Sprite.
