Lesen
Hi all, I'm new to the forum and only started using Phaser three days ago, so please excuse my noobishness. I'm currently trying to make a retro style pixel art SHMUP game, this is how it's looking so far: https://i.imgur.com/BttmOe3.png In order to achieve the somewhat "choppy" look that many old NES/SNES/Arcade SHMUPs have, I've been thinking about a way of limiting framerate to much less than 60, maybe 30 or 24, so that it looks less smooth, or perhaps adding some kind of frame skipping to the rendering. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how to do it? Or am I taking a completely wrong approach on this and perhaps there is a much better way of achieving the desired result? Thanks in advance for your help!
