Tipps for a project structure?

I read about this basic template, but it felt kinda klunky to add the calls to preload/create/update of every game-object into the preload/create/update of the states where those objects should be in.

 

I come from Crafty, where I just had to create the objects in the scene (the higher level Crafty equivalent of a state), tell them which components they should use, configure them and done.

 

In Phaser it feels like I have to work in 2 or 3 (with preload) different places for one object.
