Zelazowy
I'm developing Iron Kingdoms (Żelazne Królestwa), a persistent medieval strategy MMO that runs directly in the browser. The game is currently in public beta, and I'm looking for players who enjoy old-school persistent browser strategy games and are willing to give me honest feedback. The basic idea is simple: you start with a small settlement and gradually develop it into a kingdom. Your economy and progression continue while you're offline, so the world keeps moving 24/7. What is currently in the game? • 18 buildings upgradeable up to level 30 • 13 military units, from scouts to siege units • 2 research trees — Economy and Military • persistent world running 24/7 • offline resource production and progression • scouting and military logistics • siege warfare • tribes and cooperation between players • long-term settlement and army development • no client installation — it runs in your browser Economy and research There are separate Economy and Military research trees. You can focus heavily on economic growth, military development, or try to balance both depending on how you want to build your kingdom. Resources continue to be produced while you're offline, so the game is designed around checking in, planning ahead and making long-term decisions rather than requiring constant active play. Warfare The military side includes scouting, different troop types, logistics and siege units. My goal is for preparation and timing to matter rather than simply having the biggest army. Tribes Players can also create and join tribes, cooperate with other kingdoms and coordinate their development and military activity. Current status The game is playable now and is still actively being developed. Since this is a public beta, I'm especially interested in feedback about: • early-game pacing • economy balance • research progression • military balance • interface/usability • anything that feels confusing or unnecessarily slow I'm also very interested in hearing from long-time PBBG players about what you think a persistent browser strategy game should do differently from the older games in the genre.
