300 A MONTH is a simulation and story game set in the near future, where AI training data pays your basic income. There is a CCTV camera in every room of your apartment, and the AI pays you to learn from your life. To save anything you have to sell scenes it hasn't seen yet: noodles boiling over, slipping in the shower, strangers you film in the alley. The goal is 30 million won for a pistol. Buy it and shoot every CCTV camera, and that's the ending.

Tech, since this is a dev forum: it is one HTML file with plain Canvas 2D, no engine or framework, and no image files. Every room, prop and character is drawn in code, and each draw function takes a palette. The world is drawn with the black and white palette, and the TVs and monitors show a live CCTV feed of the room you are standing in, which is the same scene drawn again with the color palette into a 560x315 offscreen canvas and pasted onto each screen. The ending bleeds color out from the player in a growing circle. My first version redrew the whole house in color inside a clip every frame, and once the circle got big a single frame took over 0.1 seconds. Now the color house is drawn once into its own canvas, cut to the circle with destination-in, and pasted in one drawImage. All music and sound effects are synthesized with the Web Audio API, and progress saves to localStorage.

Made by a very small indie team in Korea.
