oreumgames
Hi all, NEW WORLD PIZZA is an idle pizza shop game. Twelve world leaders and tech billionaires, drawn as caricatures, pull up in black limos, order at the counter and wait by the oven. Tap the ovens to bake faster, tap the cash box to collect, and tap a guest to raise that guest's tip chance by 1%. Masked Anonymous figures gather on the sidewalk to film the shop, and if three or more set up, the limos drive right past. Meet all twelve and a final group order ends the game. A full run is about an hour. Play (free, no sign-up): oreumgames.com/en/games/newworldpizza Tech, since this is a dev forum: one HTML file and three plain JS files on Canvas 2D, no engine or framework. The shop, ovens, limo, pizzas, coins and fireworks are drawn in code. The guests are the only image files: a front pose and two walk frames each, illustrated with an image AI and cut out into webp. The first problem with sprites from different sheets was the pizza box. Every guest has different proportions, so a box drawn at one fixed height floated at some chests and sank to other knees. I measured where the arms widen past the legs on each front sprite and keep a small table of hand heights, from 25% to 31% of body height, and walking guests carry it at 36% pushed a little forward. The limo leaving the shop used to drive across the inside of the shop, so now it is clipped at the wall edge and disappears behind it. The music is a small disco loop synthesized with the Web Audio API, 112 bpm in C major over F, G, Em, Am, with kick, off-beat hi-hat, claps on two and four and an octave bass. Progress saves to localStorage, and when you come back after 20 minutes or more, one round of sales per oven is waiting in the cash box. Made by a very small indie team in Korea. One thing I would like to hear: does it run smoothly on your phone when the shop is full? Thanks for playing!
