Handling Asset Attribution

I'm especially curious to hear from people who have successfully licensed their games before - how do you go about handling attribution / credits for assets you use in your game? 

If I have a blend of assets I've made, some that were free with attribution licensing, and some royalty free assets I've purchased for the game - what's the correct way to handle attribution - and how much of an issue is this with sponsors?
