Uniform
Hello, I tried to set up wamp like said in the tuts page and it wont work. I'm puttin the hellophaser in the www directory and it does not load. I am new to networking and i don't even know how to resolve it.I used to use mangoose but this tiny shit became buggy, it was loading another game while i changed the directory and erased cache. So i prefered to move to WAMP. but heck i can't get the thing work. Some little help would be nice xD
rich
What happens if you go to http://localhost/ ?
Jackolantern
Did you create a .htaccess file in your root folder to allow you to go to hellophaser as the domain? Otherwise, like Rich said, you need to go to localhost. WAMP installs Apache web server, and all of the folders that you drop into the www folder will exist below localhost. For example, say you added a folder called "hellophaser" into your www folder that has the entry HTML file into it for your game. You would go to http://localhost/hellophaser/ to access it. Uniform
This!It all seems to work correctly but when i click on hellophaser i have the window posted above
Uniform
Okay actually it worked if i put the exact directory in the url field. What should i modify in order to just tap the name of the folder in the url without using my ip_adress:port/foldername
rich
Go to http://localhost/ - click the "hellophaser" link under "Vos Projets" and tell us what it says in the dev tools console, because there will be an error there most likely.

Yep it works this way. But i cannot launch it from clicking on the folder under "your projects" which is odd. Thanks anyway
Uniform
Go to http://localhost/ - click the "hellophaser" link under "Vos Projets" and tell us what it says in the dev tools console, because there will be an error there most likely. It's the same error that i posted in the first post. Okay i think i know what's wrong.(i dont use the port 80 by the way so it's okay to use it with wamp) If i tap localhost/hellophaser the phaser image loads perfectly which means that apache has located my file. When i click on hellophaser under "my projects" it just writes "http://hellophaser/" in the URL field that means that the "localhost(:80 but this is standart so i don't need to write it)" prefix is absent. So the thing i would like to know is how to add this prefix when clicking of the folders in wamp localhost menu. Also i don' know what a .htaccess file is. I mean i know but i don't know how to create one and what can i use it for in my case
MichaelD
Some programs hijack port 80, programs like the Skype or some services. If you are on windows you can open up command-line and run "netstat -o" it will show you all running applications and their ports
