Create Object Infront of object by amount

Hi,

 

How can I create an object directly in front of an object by a certain amount? based on where it's facing?

 

Is there a function that does this? or do I need math for it?

One other question, how can I detect when two objects stop overlaying?

There's no function to do this automatically, so you'd have to work it out via code, yes - although it'd hardly take much!
