Is it possible to restrict the drawable area?

Is it possible to change the dimensions/ position of the active game camera so that it only displays in a section of the visible canvas. In some parts of my game I would like to restrict the area being drawn to so that anything outside of it is hidden but I can't work out an elegant way to do it.

I'm sure there used to be example code for multiple camera with defined regions but can't find it now so wonder if the feature has been removed?
