Blendmode works through globalCompositeOperation. You can add new blendmodes in CanvasRenderer.




According to this, numbers from 20 are free, so you can do something like that 

renderer.blendModes[20] = 'destination-out';

sprite.blendMode = 20;

There's also a way to use custom blendmodes in webgl:
